Grades just popped. No email, but I've been randomly checking my orders page online. Either I complained enough or things are beginning to slowly move at the lower levels.

Total sub was 11 cards, 6 were mine and 5 for my brother.

5 10's
3 9's
2 8's
1 6

The 6 was pretty brutal, minor surface print lines with great corners and edges, but still a 6. Both 8's were on my cards, kind of hard to understand those but I'm waiting for the cert images to be available.

I will lay off PSA for a few weeks, maybe they'll surprise me on my other value order. I would not recommend doing anything less than regular going forward.

Finally caved, bought the collectors club membership and sent off my first ever PSA sub.
24 card 90s special. Nice assortment of goodies. Good luck to me.

That was me 3 weeks ago! After a long-time of grading with BGS, it was time for a change.

I hope you get some nice grades, and I hope you get your cards back before Christmas.

My $15/card vintage order from late February was in Grading for months, and finally moved to QA1 this week. It'll be about 4-5 months door to door I'm guessing, and I should hopefully get it in early to mid-July.

Pretty sure these grading specials are the lowest of the low in terms of PSA priority.

I think everything has grinded to a halt. How can they misjudge their labor availability this badly again?

I have an order that arrived 6/9, that still hasn't been checked in.
Have a TCG bulk that arrived 5/4, still in grading and has been for over a month
Another order in Assembly for 2 weeks now. Good luck when that gets to the QAs.

Like, how does this actually happen? Are they that bad at managing workflow? Do they understand how to anticipate orders when they throw out mediocre specials?

They were fine when prices were set to levels that made grading questionable at the value levels, but once they even cracked open the door, they can't handle the workload.

Maddening.

I've got 2 orders that arrived & were checked in March and have been sitting in grading for weeks/months

Both were monthly "value" specials

The $15 90’s order I sent in arrived on 6/8 and is currently in Grading phase. Seems to be moving pretty damn good!

Hey guys, I have a few of these thicker cards to submit to PSA and they won’t fit in my card savers. Is it ok to submit in the thicker top loads with some painters tape on top to help secure them? Thanks in advance!

I have a feeling they are not working around the clock anymore. Bulk is advertised as a 65 Business Day turnaround so no need to pay overtime to get cards back to you in anything less than that. Its clear their output has fallen looking at gemrate. They likely have found the sweetspot to balance rising costs with what they need coming in the door. The delay in checking orders in is maddening though. They are sneakily turning it into a 75 - 85 business day turnaround with those upfront delays.

My 90's sports special order took about 2 1/2 weeks to be entered into the system, it's about a week and a half ahead of yours in arrival date. Hopefully you get some movement in the next 3 or 4 days!

I believe it is okay, but I graded a Immaculate RPA a year ago. I put the RPA sleeved in-between two top-loaders and put into a grading sleeve. I did well on the RPA.

My 90's special still in Arrived stage. The last time it took this long to entered into the computer was a few years ago.

You can also buy some Card Saver 4s, which are significantly larger and let you insert a thick card with no trouble. Just a bit inconvenient, packaging-wise, if you're sending a mixed submission with normal sized Card Savers as well. But nothing insurmountable

My Value+ order has been sitting in QA2 for 6 days now. I was optimistic that it would show up before I go on vacation on the 6th, but now I'm doubting it.

These are the reasons I just use a group submitter, I know not for everyone, but they handle all of these types of headaches and I can just track through their system.
