Scioscia be a fool to play him. I say sit him the rest of the Yankee series. He can pitch again on Tuesday against the Orioles. If he bats him tomorrow and he aggravates it, that would seal Scioscia's departure

why is it assumed a tweaked ankle immediately means he will be out a day or 2? Pujols can't run at all yet he swings a bat every day and plays a couple of times a week at first.

He could be back tomorrow or next week. Depends how he feels and how Angels management wants to proceed

This dude is absolutely incredible. Severino will be one of the best pitchers in the game for the next decade, and shohei pissed on a 97 mph fastball way off the plate inside; simply amazing. Here's praying he stays healthy. He is so much fun to watch and be stunned by his immense talent.

Probably won't play today, and Sabathia's pitching on Sunday, so he won't be in the starting lineup either. Unless he pinch hits, the next time he'd hit would be Thursday. Sucks cause one minor thing can really mess up his appearances.

Can't help but to be irritated with the no DH if a lefty is pitching. How in the heck is he ever going to get better against lefties if they sit him? I mean the guy has already hit a HR off of the Kluber and Severino, that should give him 3-4 AB's vs the next Lefty up.

That's how Angels fans feel. He needs to bat against everyone otherwise people will use a * next to his stats to say he only batted against righties

Yes, Japanese baseball is not MLB, but he hit both about the same. Also, just because a Lefty starts a game doesn't mean he is going to last the entire game.

I am sure it has more to do with the coaching staff. The kid was asking for more playing time, fewer days off, I believe it has more to do with management thinking long-term, not day to day.
