Times star players leading the league in key stats for guys who have won the WS since 2011, Trouts 1st year…

Key stats: Runs. OBA. SLG. OPS. OPS+ BB TB
Betts 2x. 0x. 1x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 1x.
Bellinger 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 1x
Soto. 0x. 2x. 1x. 1x. 1x. 0x. 0x
Bryant 1x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x
Altuve 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x
Bogaerts 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x

Let’s expand it to include stars who went to the WS and lost it played in the postseason…

Judge. 1x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 0x. 1x. 0x

Now at any given moment these guys were talked as the “best” player in the game at any given moment. By some standards greatness is determined by WS wins or playoff success. Some of these guys have HR, RBI or Batting titles as well, but let’s focus on just these stats for now.

Last, here are some numbers:
Trout. 4x. 4x. 3x. 4x. 6x. 3x. 1x

Yep it’s clear to me, Trout isn’t the best. Must be some other guy in the names above.

Sorry but he was hurt last year and struckout 4 times yesterday so those 10 years of stats that show he's by far the best player of this generation are nullified.

In the past year, PSA graded/added 3x more base us175 (~1,600) then the total graded diamond us175 population (~500).

Cognac looks far better than the dull look of the diamond. All are a waste of money but cognac looks best in hand.

This may be the only thing in life that Pate and I agree on

Pop and appeal, Cognac but Diamonds are pretty groovy too

And the thing is no one is denying the stardom of any of those guys listed. Clearly Cabrera is one of the best players ever with his career stats, and of course Pujols played early in the 2000s and won multiple WS but I wanted to show the differences between the guys everyone tries to vault over Trout.
Maybe one of those will pass him up, maybe one of the young studs will surpass him, but you can’t deny his place as one of the best and THE best since 2012.
