Just play tourneys and get aggressive during the payout bubble.

Pick your spots and time the low PR stuff with the dips. 10 packs during the peak when everyone else is catching wind, will flood the secondary market.
I totally agree....To each his/her own but i've bought all mine direct from topps at msrp (This week i bought the 10 pack from houdini and will buy from twinsjake in the future on his new website when i multiples of a certain card) so i have nothing to worry about...I missed out on some of the early bird big boys but i've still got a decent stash in hand (and coming in the mail) that i'll make a nice profit when i eventually decide to sell

The next month will be telling as everyone has said regarding the print runs....Once all these bots, sneakerbois, buyer groups and other people buying 100 of each realize they're not gonna get rich instantly they'll bail quick

I've seen it on many items before...Recently with the Funko Pops...Funko would release an exclusive every wednesday on their site (They still do but it's no longer worth the time) and it always limited to 10,000 or less and at first you had a chance at them but then the bots and group would get them all in mere seconds

Fast forward to all the millions of compalints on their twitter page they upped the production so much that all the groups eventually left...Long story short i can see it happening with this with all the print runs about to go through the roof

At the same time, I dont have too much to spend on this or any card for that matter
Also keep in mind Topps is saying 15-30 business days to get the cards shipped so make sure you’re ok floating that for 6 weeks if you do buy the 10 pack. I think right now they’re about 4 weeks behind but they’ve sold like 250k cards already this week so they’re probably going to be pushed out to that 6 week mark by the time they get to the Gwynn. I’d do singles from Topps personally. The Twinsjake Route to save a few more bucks is also a good one.

Use twinsjake for the Ebay points or Topps for the 1/1. Anything else is idiocity.

Start making offers on new listings. There have been a lot of them sold for under $1K today. Sales of $850, $925, $820, $936, $915, $936, $950, $900

Anyone have informed opinions on the topic of StockX?

If I decide to move any of my $1K+ cards, I like the concept of not dealing with a finicky eBay buyer. What is the downside?

I think there will be a dip when they get into peoples hands. Seems to be more sellers on stuff in hand than on presales.

Never ever had any downside selling sneakers on StockX. Assume it’s the same for cards.

In fairness, I’ve also never dealt with any of the horror stories selling cards on eBay.

Lowest BIN by a good seller is $1200. Waiting for some desperate sellers.

I think StockX is perfect for these, but doesn’t seem like the “collectors” demographic has adopted StockX for much of anything yet, and I’m not sure why.

StockX seems perfect for selling sealed wax and also for P2020, just hardly any activity so far.

Fill me in, what's the bet here? I wont be hitting the poker tables the next 3 months at the least.

I don't want to tell you what to do but I personally would avoid trying to sell now at less than you paid. That card was the 15th card in the set with a PR under 1500.

Check the fees (I'm not sure if they're different from eBay for memorabilia). They've had issues with accidentally authenticating fakes (not a problem for a seller but definitely terrible), accidentally damaging goods during the shipping/authentication process (definitely a problem, but I haven't seen it with sports cards since they're new), and repeatedly getting hacked/accidentally leaking personal info (yikes).

I won't be the first one to sell big ticket cards on Stock-X here but I'm open minded to see how it goes for some people if they decide to try it out. The fact that INAD returns are eliminated on the platform greatly appeals to me.

They are getting desperate and its getting worse. Sellers trying to lock in these gains before they fall more. Wait a couple of days and you may catch that card for half of todays price.
