Good call....

Order history does say draft for these and not the "hobby" boxes.

I totally missed that.

Thanks a ton!

Does anyone think this is going to be overproduced just like prizm draft? Also with prizm draft having 2 variations of the same silver I wonder if they would do that to regular in order to increase production. A road and home jersey zion card.

Beyond over produced. It’s so available it’s comical.

No worries. Got the magnums XL's.

Also, if Paschall silver collegiate prizms are getting 10-15 dollars, I'm fearful for what pro jersey prizms will fetch. Overproduction be damned. This is going to be insanity.

I bumped into the lady who stocks cards at my local Target. I asked her why Wal-Mart seems to be pulling all their cards. She told me that Wal-Mart got their license pulled and they are pulling stock from their not so busy stores and relocating to the busier stores to sell and then would no longer sell cards. That's what i was told. She is of course a reliable source. She wouldn't tell me why or what they did wrong she just told me they won't have cards much longer. Again I don't know if true or not so don't kill the messenger

As I said earlier 2 Walmart’s in my area of CT have got rid of their card sections. I bought Optic at both earlier this year.

MAY be overproduced to the point where it may hurt reselling opportunities. A bit worried for y'all honestly. I can't see the margins being large enough for one to make THAT much profit. Selling sealed boxes on eBay after taxes and fees.

But hey, profit is profit

Yeah. All those people that lost tons of money on those coveted collegiate prizm mega boxes. NBA should be a bloodbath.

Please leave them for the kids.

Did either of those Walmarts get refurbished? New Paint scheme with item pickup waiting stations, or updated checkout kiosks? did they get self checkout layout redesign?

My local wal marts stopped carrying trading cards of any kind. The local target has every kind of sports card except basketball. What gives?

my local Walmart has tons of cards, status, hoops, threads, all of which are from last season. Just no new 19-20 product yet

Same for all my Wal-Marts. They all have tons of cards...Hoops, Status, Threads, Chronicles, Prizm Draft blasters, etc. Haven’t seen the new Hoops blasters there yet.

Ya I noticed the same thing happening and when I ran into the Excel girl stocking the cards...i think that's how you spell it.. I asked her and she said that they got their rights pulled which would mean they did something wrong.... What I don't know. I asked she wouldn't tell me why but interesting to hear and explains why there's only 1 Wal-Mart I know of in Vegas that has any. There's prob more but I don't know where. Again I don't know if it's true if they breached some sort of agreement or if they are just deciding to stop carrying them.

Not their license sorry.. Their rights. And from what I can see it may be true. I know they has holiday baseball but that could have been because it was already printed and everything but the only Walmart I know with cards is not getting any new stock besides some holiday boxes but besides that they have almost everything on sale. Nothing good just junk. But obv something happened

Here is what has happened:

Someone at Panini realized that if they overproduced this year, it would breach the long term trust with customer and it would impact their bottom line in years to come. Panini calls up Walmart and tells them they won't be able to deliver on their promise and will only be able to allocate a fraction of what they had told them. The purchasing manager at Walmart goes ballistic and tells them they already sold most if not more than their allocation and that if they don't deliver, he will cancel all orders on basketball cards. Panini management decides they can't breach the trust with collectors and calls them back to tell them the bad news. Walmart tells them that from now on, they won't carry any basketball cards and that they will review if they will also cancel all Panini products in the future.

The previous fiction is brought to you courtesy of the Panini management. I know it might be a bit far fetched, but it could explain a lot of what has been explained in this thread.

This means that Prizm won't be overproduced this year. Well we can dream can't we

Yes both did, but even after the self checkout design etc they still had cards.

When I went to go look for 19-20 hoops the other night at my local walmart I had in mind that if it wasn't stocked yet I'd grab Prizm draft. They has neither. Actually, they had one single blaster box of any basketball product left (box of threads which I bought).. No hangers, cellos, fat packs, retail packs, nada.

Something definitely is up because just two weeks ago they still had 17-18 prestige blasters/hangers and a bunch of 18-19 threads, chronicles, Donruss, etc.. I highly doubt they sold all of that in the past two weeks.

2 of my 3 local Walmarts were restocked in the last week. I do think it's weird the 3rd wasn't restocked - that's normally the one that has the most.

What were they restocked with? 18/19 Chronicles and Threads and stuff like that? I'd be interested to see if anyone can find any 19/20 Hoops at any Wal-Marts, that might be a big indicator if any of these rumors are true or not.
