Default Comc

Remember comc is a junk company with bad policies , sucky technology, and poor customer service. Be careful in investing your time and money with such a company. It is always better to trust yourself wth your own cards rather than someone else, like COMC. The only thing I send to them is $20 and under off grade cards which they almost can't screw up. Every card has the right market make sure you understand that before you send them much, especially anything of significance. Also realize it is hard to get your cards back from them don't assume that if it doesn't work out they will just ship your cards back

This is the "COMC is a sucky place to flip" thread. The "COMC is a sucky place to consign your stuff" thread is elsewhere on this board.

Just logged in to COMC, and to my surprise, I see "20 items sold". I now have $10.66 in my account, and still have 14 cards listed in my inventory with a total asking price of $9.39. Essentially, I doubled my money in one day.

One caveat - looks like all 20 cards sold in a single sale. So a bit of luck here, but nonetheless, an encouraging start.
So day two (yesterday) also was good. I ended up selling 16 more cards...crazy, but it was the same person. So one individual has bought 36 of my cards in my first two days on the site.

Bought a few more cards/relisted yesterday, here's where I'm at now, about 2.5 days in (my original/only deposit was $10):

I've bought a total of 81 cards.
I have $6.89 store credit
I have $16.21 total sales (36 items)
45 current items in inventory, with a total asking price of $26.31.

Since those two multi-card sales, it's been all quiet. Which is what I expected. Not going to get my hopes up based on those two big early (lucky) sales, but still excited about the start.

I had a blast flipping Cam Newton rookies last night. As you can see, I bought them all on the same day back in April after falling for a tweet that he was coming to the Patriots. Just glad it turned out to be true.

This is a small sample of the bigger flips I had as they rose, I had some in the 50% range but those were already active on site so I couldn't control pricing as well on them.

Nice!

I actually bought a couple of Stidham cards before going to bed last night. I wasn't happy when I woke up!

Here's hoping Cam flops in the first three games and Stidham is the new Superman! lol

I'm not a smart man. Saw the Cam news 3 seconds after the tweet since had twitter open, rushed to COMC and rather than buy just kind of surfed and looked at prices. Only bought one orange, oh well.

Edit: didn't buy these listed below, just looked at them haha

A purple /499 was sitting at $32.50, other oranges at $20-$30, prism at $30, base chrome at $8, but didn't expect prices to jump where they did on a one year deal.

Dude! Be happy with what you got.

I filled some holes in my graded '51 Bowman set with my profits and am shipping them home along with a few other bigger PC cards. Put it to good use, that's a decent chunk of change very quickly.

Yes, I know....because one was from me haha. You literally missed the news by 28 minutes before my first Cam moved.

I had $10 in my account when the Newton news came out. Somehow flipped his cards for 2 straight hours. 2011 Press Pass stayed cheap for a while

Lol, you're welcome!

I usually put the kids to bed and then put some time into card research, etc. I was super tired last night so I decided to go to bed. One of the few times I went to bed early and I missed out.

Nice!! I should have chased down others but was just happy to have the ones I already did. I see people that paid too much are now battling with others who bought in at the mid point to try and move theirs. The Cam market can't go up much more than it did unless he starts out 6-0 or something.

I couldn't believe the cam jump...I was happy that I sold a NM chrome for $4 and then saw my regular chrome went for $15...couldn't believe they were selling for $50+ so quickly...

I am typically a flipper though, so ill take my little profit and go away...

I had gotten mine in a lot of Topps Chrome off of eBay, 2 Russell Wilson base & a tallboy, 2 Luck Base & 2 Heritage, 2 Cam base, 4 Kuechley base, Watt base, Von Miller, Flacco...it was a loaded lot...that is what was left after I had hit profit by selling a few of the autos and random other things...I had packaged up an 800 ct box of assorted in penny sleeves with all of those and stuck it on eBay for $50 open $99 BIN, no action...sent to COMC, sold the Wilsons for $60 total, still have the Lucks, just got $19 on the Cams...

just wish my stuff that has been in processing for months would release...I have more chrome RCs, a bunch of Griffey's, more Olympic stuff...

ive had a 'bad' month this month...itll be the first month of the year where I didn't average 10 cards or more sold per day...like I said, im just a lowly flipper, mostly low end stuff...

just my 'flipping' for the month, 120 cards for $69.38 profit...just under half of the cards I sold were flips, as I sit at 241 sales this month...so if you take out the 10% cash out fee and whatever for the 'small transaction' fee, I net about $60, which covers gas money for the month...but mostly I don't do small cashouts, I 'reinvest' buying more things to make a few cents on, rinse and repeat...
