I wonder if the weekend will cause a print run reduction.

Idk, Topps is doing a good job of pairing these cards up. I think Fucci and Cartoon might attract people who like the bright pop art stuff. I’d definitely consider the pack, I don’t have any Mr Cartoon and his stuff has grown on me.

I decided to calculate everything, and I'm up ~$4000 after the great selloff tonight. Excluding my Efdot set, it's still around $2500 gain, but only on paper.

I blew around $1500 tonight on some cards I really like, including a Pujols RC, but mainly reinvested in P2020.

It's all fake money anyway, right?

FYI, I remember deciding I woulda cashed most ETH out once it passed $200 because why not. At 20x ROI at that point. At least cash out my investment back. Dumb stupid ex.

I went and checked, my prices were a bit off- I bought 109.19 ethereum here, for just over $1200

Guilted into selling here, when I wanted to hold. Still, $5400ish I remember. $4,200 profit in 2.5 months for doing nothing- i wasn’t unhappy.

And then 3 weeks later boom, the first big peak and bubble (it seems after the decline and subsequent level off, it hasn’t got back to this point yet). Still at this point, just 3 weeks it would have been $42k+ here.

The peak value of my shares would have been over $150k, had I sold at the peaky peak. I had a buddy who bought like 1,000 at the very very beginning for like 0.40 cents or something and he sold all of it at like 2.30 haha

I have a second chance to not fork it up with this!

Yes, eTopps was like this. The people that got in early made a ton of money, more and more people started buying eTopps cards, print runs soared, and eTopps eventually crashed. People will say, "But this is different, this is art!" and while that may be true, it's a VERY similar concept to eTopps. Again I think you'll see the early people make money, but social media and cards being what they are today I think you'll see a shorter time from rise to crash. That time period could still possibly be years, I'm not saying it's toast next week, but I could definitely see it following the eTopps path from the small amount I've seen so far.

That was a different time and besides the online offering and baseball, there really isn't a comparison. The timing of it, the cross-cultural aspect, the human interaction are all factors with Project 2020 that the set will resonate over time. Sure prices will fluctuate but we have a long way to go. Aside from the baseball cards hobby, the popularity of the artists can drive the prices up. I dont see how MLB HOF AND the Museum of Modern Art doesnt include Project 2020 in their collections. This is beyond baseball.

So im trying to pace myself and buy only what I like right now. Being a Yankees fan, and having 3 different cars in the set, there’s a lot more left to go. With that said, I do not LOVE the JK5 Mo, but does anyone think it’ll be an expensive card later on? I know we’re only talking about $16, but if it’s going to be going for about MSRP, I can just hold off for now.

I think most of these cards will go for more than MSRP. 1st reason being it takes time to appreciate the art, you may not likr it at 1st glance, but after the 48 hours is up you may appreciate it more. 2nd reason being people are going to get in late and if they ever want to complete there set, they are going to have to compete with other buyers.

I do not understand how we have gone so long without a Money Bear post. Quick! Someone say something clever!

We'll see, if I was a betting man I'd bet on an eTopps scenario being more likely than this being some must-have seminal product for years to come. I have no skin in the game, just observing a similar pattern. I want everyone that bought them to do well as more money in the "hobby" is good for all of us. Should I buy the IPOs every week just in case?

What if Topps does NOT do this again next year? Let’s say there is no P2021...

Does that help or hurt P2020?

Project 2020 has been showing up in my Clemente saved searches. Today the email contained 4 to 10 times the numbers that I normally get. It appears people are selling.

I know it’s not a pump post, but the one thing I really love about this project is the anticipation about the card reveals.

Everyday getting a two pieces of art revealed is so cool. The Mattingly teaser has me so amped for today.

I’ve followed so many more people on social media than I did before to try and see them when they first drop.
