It makes every MJ on card auto seem like a bargain. And I’m a huge Luka guy. Gotta love this though. If it gets some real attention it’s GREAT for the hobby and Luka in particular.

Agreed. I have a Luka on card auto that is literally 1,000x cheaper than this. I get this is THE card. But I think this brings a lot of his autos up.

Well he said congrats to my new business partner / friend ... different then saying client/friend.

So its hard to tell if the sale is truly for that card a lone, ie. the value at 4 mill. (as stated)

A tax accountant would have a better idea of , but there is diff taxes levied on diff types of sales. So it could be in one's best interest to sell something that is a long term hold investment (card) that acts as a vehicle to some other business being within that. ie. you get this card + X share in X business for 4 mill ... thus it could hide the other part of the deal for tax benefits, and its publicized so if ever scrutinized by IRS you point to proof of such said sale that is "only for the card"...

I'm not implying this is what happened here, as I dont want to point such fingers or make accusations, I'm just suggesting that there could be in other dealings etc some crazy ways to cook some books etc. with private sales.

Since cards are becoming an alt. asset class.

Crazy world of cards ... still cool tho.

Apparently the 5.8 Million dollar deal included other cards. So I guess to advertise the Luka sale, they just wanted to show the price for that 1 card. That's probably what the adjustments were on that invoice. I would be interested to see what other cards racked up a 1.8 million dollar price tag too.

I believe I heard a story that other cards were included in the other 1.8m of the deal and the 4m is all luka I think. but I think all cards.

Agree. This reprices highest end Luka and also other players’ highest end. Not much flow through to base Prizm.
Makes the million dollar Giannis and the 1.8m Lebron a couple months ago look like big time STEALS.
