Mavs have had the Nuggets number over the last couple years. Streak killers, they snapped Brooklyn's 9 game win streak and now probably DEN 5 game streak unless DAL collapses in the 4th. Dallas has been playing fantastic basketball minus that last game which they threw.

4 big games coming up that will be important to climb the standings, followed by 4 sub .500 teams. If they keep playing well does he have any shot of getting back in the MVP race?

That's a real long shot at this point. They'd have to keep winning at the same clip they have over the last 14 games (11-3) for the rest of the season and finish in the top 4.

Their rough start really hurt them but you never know voters will probably remember the second half more than the first. I'd like to see it but i think it would take a small miracle.

He is absolutely in the MVP conversation.

Lakers are a .500 team with no AD.
Embiid is out for 2-3 weeks, and the Sixers may fall to third in the awful East.
Giannis isn’t winning MVP again no matter what he does.

Jokic probably has the best shot, but Denver is mentally soft as you saw last night. If the Mavs can get to even a five seed despite all the Covid BS that derailed them early on, I don’t see why he doesn’t have a chance.

Yep, he’s absolutely in the race.

Jokic should be the front runner right now, he’s had an incredible year. If the mavs can keep winning, and luka can add a little to his averages, he will have a good shot. As you mention, I think lebron and embiid will be out of it at the end of the year.

I do think jokic is going to be tough to beat, but luka has a path to do it no doubt.

Realistically speaking Dallas will not win the Championship this year. All he needs is the MVP this season...if this happens I expect his key cards to move even further upwards, as if he won the Champioship.

Kid is fun to watch (second to Curry for me).
