Has anyone experienced lately wrong cards being added to your account? It’s been happening to me over the last few weeks. Nothing big dollar but it’s getting me concerned about their processing accuracy. I emailed them about it and now waiting for a response. Is anyone else having this issue?

I've been out of COMC game for the last couple years since submissions really started bogging down and fees were creeping up (last item sold in October 2020). I'm entertaining getting back into COMC, and I was curious how things have been going the last couple years.

How have things been trending in the last couple years in regards to fees and submission times? How about shipping times?

Also, any word on the "1099" front in regards to income reporting? Will this be like eBay where there will be a 1099 as soon as the cashouts go above $600 for the year? I suppose this is tied to Paypal payments...but not if I do Blowout GCs instead? What I don't need is another cost-tracking hassle on my hands.

It happened 5-10 times that were reported here during the Great Flood of 2021. Haven't seen it mentioned that it was happening too often. I'd recommend using their Support button and make sure they start looking into it ASAP, rather than waiting until they check their email.

Shipping has been good.

Currently I have submissions that are 8 days late for the Select service. Reminds me of old times a year or two ago with dates pushed back.

Check payments also will wind up in a 1099. They have a form you fill out securely online to gather your tax info. No way around the 1099, unless you spend it all back on the site.

Thanks. Are they still doing BO GCs for store credit like the old days? If so, that gets around the 1099, right? I'm already sick of tracking all my expenses on eBay and don't want to double-up on this crap..

Anyone finding any decent ports for sale, lately been rough as the ports are WAY overpriced as they haven't kept the prices competitive making it almost impossible to even offer on some.

Not even finding any singles to buy now days. I have only purchased 14 cards this hold year so far. I buy for my PC only.

I feel most cards are way overpriced. But that is just me.

Been doing a lot of offers but only a few accepting them. Most reject or let them expire. If and when they counter, it is only 1% off and for me they need to drop it by 20%

I picked up a decent one in July - it was a smaller port and has already more than paid for itself however that appears to be an extreme rarity.

My luck was pretty poor leading up to finding that one - it went well and my optimism sored. Which basically led me to wasting a ton of time looking for additional ports that were all well of range. Every once-in-a-while I find one that appears to be close however those always seem to be not accepting offers...or not accepting of reasonable offers anyway...

Had a single card out of a big batch which got uploaded flagged as “item stored remotely” when I put it for sale. Cards were shipped direct to Redmond and all others in the batch do not have that flag.

Yes there are some real nice cards that are at below fair prices. My issue is I only buy for my PC. So there are a couple of things that may have happen.

1. I have purchased all of the cheap ones.
2. I just have not been able to find any of the cheap one I need. For me COMC is getting harder to find cards as I have a lot of cards and have to look through a lot of cards to find a few.
3. Sellers have raised their prices above what I willing to pay. $2.75 for what I think is a common is way too much. Some of the big sellers just do not have the time to view each card and get the price fair.
4. I have no idea what a fair price is. (anymore) 2 to 5 times more what they were asking a year ago is too much. Other players (better) from the same set listed less then ones I need.

It was probably processed by someone working from home. Shortly after the card(s) are brought back to the warehouse, that label will go away. This is nothing new and you should not be concerned about it.

Especially if you collect something older that people have little reason to send in, point 1. is likely quite a lot of the explanation. I have that with what I mainly collect - I bought a metric ton of bargains early on and now its a case of paying more to fill in gaps.

There's probably a little of the other 3 going on to, and possibly also some of:
5. Some of the cards you want are listed by sellers with abandoned or semi-abandoned ports.

Plenty of bargains on the site more generally. I often find things way cheaper than eBay or Sportlots. Just doesn't sound like its what you are looking for that often these days.

It would be nice for people like us if they improved the watchlist so you watched all of a card - not just one random one of the ones for sale and gave the option to alert if any one got reduced to a given price or lower.

Yeah, people are sending in less random stuff they would sell for 75 cents since the submission fee is 50. Just a slog. Your best bet for stuff to get cheaper is to hope it sells in a port sale and then gets clearanced.

Do they even have a customer service dept? what is tim and juilia doing? million dollar company but cant figure out they need customers or there site isnt worth shhhhh. no one submits, no inventory for them to sell and make money on.......... anyways they need to work on customer service because its a joke. 95% of them are overpriced. It seems like you just have to luck into ones that are at the right price. I did find someone who seems to be getting out and ended up with three different ports at a great price. Loved some of the cards I got out of those. Wish I had been able to snatch up the others that they had. I keep looking back and hoping.

I am on the other side of the port sale equation. Listed mine just to see what offers I would get. I suppose most people just assume that the ports are all marked up to 5 times the going rate so they then offer 10% of what the cards are listed for without needing to really investigate?

No one submits? Ive been waiting on loads of batches that theyre behind on. Many others here as well.

That would be nice. And for years I have asked about them doing that.

Also have asked about them allowing us to Hide cards of a player that we have. Example for me Ahman Green They have 1,235 different cards I have approx. 1000 of them. So I have to look through all of the 1,235 just to see the ones I need. (as they move as the prices change). If I could hide the ones I have it would take me very little time to see the ones. I need and figure out if I want to buy them. As it is now, I may miss cards I would have purchased.

I also asked if they could make it so we could sort our watch list in better ways Like by players, Autos, SNed and MEN.

All I have ever gotten back for them has been We will look into it.


I'm looking for any/all football players from Nebraska (any uniform) Over 825 players, close to 30,000 different cards which I have 10,400 of them. My watch list is over 2,300 cards as of now. Who knows how many I have missed as I made it Jan 1, 2021. COMC is the only site that has more the a few cards that I can find without spending more the a couple of days looking. As I'm in the twilight years of collecting and a lot oof cards to get rid of. I'm only focusing on my Huskers.

Yep and I'm getting ready to send another batch too. Been pretty successful at moving cards on COMC recently.
