Likely a scenario where people think they are being smart by investing on lower priced items with future growth. Thing they dont understand is the dynamics around the presale mess and will ultimately get screwed.

LOW PRs should be invested simple as that. At the end of the day a 5-8k PR card is simply not going to have the value in 2 months that a sub 2k PR has.

This is a perfect illustration on what we are likely to see on the secondary market moving forward. But...even more so, it should be used as an indicator that most people do not really put the same type of importance on Print Runs as sports cards collectors. The typical knowledge from the Project 2020 market will be shallow--whether it's intro-level investors seeing major gains on previous releases and assuming it will be the case for all cards or collectors just getting into collecting this type of item and trying to buy the low price cards before they go up like the others. There's a lot of green on the intel scale with these.

This is why many are calling for us to not put a ton of stock in the knowledge that we have about the hobby. This will likely not correlate well with P2020. We might even see the opposite--seasoned sportscards investors flipping these for huge profits now--coming to find out later that they sold WAY too soon. We just don't know. There was a mass exit from flippers after the Shore Griffey PR announcement. Those people are gone because their Monday "investment" backfired. Their place in line will be replaced--hopefully--by more people who are actually interested in P2020 cards rather than people looking to do something in their broke lives today that they can retire from tomorrow.

Mister Cartoon’s Mattingly looks awesome, I just wish he used the pose from the ‘84 card rather than a different one. Same goes with Fucci’s Trout, etc.- I think it would make for a much more cohesive set if they all looked at least somewhat similar to the original card....

Topps website is trash.

Trying to get bundles of Wed, Thurs, Friday and can't get any added to my cart, or it ends up adding 8 of one, and trying to correct it, deletes my cart and I'm stuck.
