Last I checked also..Luka DOES get killed for whining too much..it's something a lot of people point out..it isn't ignored.

I'm not sure if AAU career stats are logged anywhere online, so let's look at the NCAA. Rookies often hit the "rookie wall" because NCAA minutes are so much less than NBA minutes. Let's take a look at a few guys recently who stayed 4 years in the NCAA:

Desmond Bane: 4279 minutes over 4 years
Markus Howard: 3852 minutes over 4 years

2020 #1 pick logged 29.4 minutes per game in AAU for 2018-2019, and logged 1057 minutes in his 1 year at Georgia.

My guess is AAU ball + 1 year in college is about the same "tread" as what Luka did from 2014-2018.

Zach Lowe called Luka a whiner at the beginning of February and everything changed after that. Hasn't been whiner talk since then.

Not by your standards. This is year 12 for Harden in the league. One MVP. Zero titles. Even if he wins one this year, he had to join two other superstars to do it.

Did you read that in an article, or figure that out by watching him play?

Sure, he shot 32.7% in year 1 and 31.6% in year 2. Now he's shooting 36.7%. His career average is 33.2% with 2.6 3PM per game.

Ja shot 33.5% in year 1 and is now shooting 22.9% in year 2. His career average is 29.3% with 0.9 3PM per game. So downward trajectory, shoots 3% worse, and makes 1.5 fewer per game, yet you think the two are comparable?

Just to give a comparison and I know the Pops are a lot different but so are the collector numbers.

Luka Prizm Silver PSA 9s are selling for the same price as Vince Carter Topps Chrome Ref PSA 9s.

I'm a long term believer also, I just haven't it backed it up with my wallet yet.

But I need some long term hold stuff when I eventually move the old broken down chumps like KD and Bron.

Comparing Luka to Harden in basketball is one thing, comparing them in the Hobby is another universe.

I do agree that people will get bored and drop off from Luka. That's what happens.

Luka has ticked every box for me going forward.

I respect that. I was also concerned about "tread" since it was brought up a bunch but after looking into it a while ago, I don't think that's really any concern since the minutes logged are most likely about the same as AAU + NCAA. Not sure about practices, but I'd guess AAU probably practices harder (guys trying to "make it") than Euroleague (guys who've already "made it") especially if Euroleague practices are anything like NBA practices.
