I guess it’s easy to blame someone else when you lose. With two such amazing studs you’d think they’d have a couple rings by now. Wonder what the excuse will be this year.

Unless your name is Kershaw. He would be on a different level if he were not so horrible in elimination Post Season games. When it comes down to critiquing players, how one performs in the highest leverage is vital. Clayton didn’t dominate but looked bad in these games. 43.2 innings, 28 earned runs, WPA -.471. I hope Trout doesn’t end his career with a post season of 3 games and 3 losses while being near invisible, negative WPA.

Dale Murphy - Great 2 time MVP but has zero success in the Post Season, 3 games, 3 losses and yes it’s a measurement of greatness. Like it or not, it matters.

Trout looks so uninspired it’s a tough watch. What are the Angels 10-40 in their last 50 games? It’s so ugly one has to wonder if he will pull a Barry Sanders. Not at this time in his career but at 34 if nothing changes. That would be a complete waste.

Judge has zero MVPs, zero rings.
No one cares about postseason stats unless it’s contributing to WS championships. I love Maddux, but his stats in the postseason are not great. Does it diminish his dominance in the 1990s? No. They did win one WS just like Kershaw has. It’s a team game, like I said. One guy can’t do it all.

There comes a point where playoff statistics / records matter. Unfortunately, Mikey is 1 for 12 in 10 years. He’s loosing time to break any meaningful regular season records at that and at the end of his career, will anyone care he had a high war and was a nice guy?
