auto checklist increased by 22% from last year so guess what?
hobby production did as well

(just like last year where the auto checklist was up 28%, so was production)

action sp...1:25 LAST YEAR; 1:31 THIS YEAR
color swap...1:89 LAST YEAR; 1:110 THIS YEAR

AUTOS 1:106 & RED 1:269
NOLAN RYAN AUTOS 1:27,110

also, a few odds of non-hobby exclusive things are only around a 7% increase from last year, so this means either retail production was cut or retail had some content removed and added back into hobby

Good info Brent. Just as I thought production on parallels will either have to go up, or you'll start losing value out of cases.

10 Actions per case now instead of 12. Color Swaps 3 to 2....etc etc. As I said in the other thread, if you think production on this is bad, just wait till you see odds for 18 heritage. Don't want to be a doomsday prophet, but if 100k, 200k, 300k customers are getting iced out by distributors at reasonable prices on 2018......I can only imagine how much the presses are going to churn.

Just the cycle of cards. Products get hot, then products go cold. Generally when they get very hot they stop delivering to our wild expectations. Heritage will get crushed long term as a $75+ a box product. Just isn't made or intended to be that much. Time will tell.

sadly Topps rarely corrects things.

Look at Chrome, they add more colors annually

Brent, did they change the normal insert odds (Rookie Performer, Then and Now, etc.) or is it the Nolan Ryan highlights?

Of the Cardinals' in-season call-ups, it's interesting to me that Magneuris Sierra made it into this product while de Jong did not. Though, technically I seem to recall that Sierra was initially called up before de Jong.

Should it be expected that both will be in Topps Update? Or will they hold de Jong until 2018? (Obviously, I'm a Cards fan, so this is highly, highly important business. 😁

now if they keep increasing it will be bad

Hoping new buyers will get feed up paying 100 a box

Because it's awful break for that

Last years heritage high was down to 40 a box

Yes this year rc group is better

But auto checklist was small and 4 auto last year

Looks like bigger with 1 less auto this year

Bellinger rc will be 20 bucks. But not being sp

There will be 1000s of them. Won't last long..

yes, combo cards are 1:20, so no master set per case even with perfect collation

de Jong will only be held if they can't get a deal in place

Any idea what the concept of the Now & Then insert set is? Before it was a dual card of a retired player and current player, now I see it is just one current player per card.....

3 would definitely do the trick....2 cases gives you 28.8 combo cards, which may be good enough, but with bad collation, who knows
