This is like the Wilson to the Steelers signing

Wilson is better than Pickett. Wilson is just a name
Henry is better than Edwards. Henry is just a name

It’s an upgrade but Henry isn’t winning you the Super Bowl

We all know what the magical number… and he’s over it

At 30 years old, Henry is clearly on the wrong side of history for running back success. With that being said, I believe he will lead the league in rushing next year (if he stays healthy). He ran for 1200 yards on one of the worst teams in the NFL. Every defensive opponent knew he was going to run the ball as he was the only weapon on the Titans roster. Teams will not be able to stack the box against the ravens next year. I was hoping the Chiefs would pick him up so we could actually convert some third downs with a running back for once.

I think they’re going to be blatantly good.

love this pickup for the Ravens.

For people saying he's getting old, sure, but the offensive line for the Ravens is a massive upgrade over the Titans.

Will he bring the Turd Wig look to Baltimore?

Double whammy.

“They’re better but like, that doesn’t mean anything”.

Henry is gonna eat up first downs and short yardage touchdowns in Baltimore just like he did in Tennessee. And you know Harbaugh is gonna give him some goal line jump passes. Can't wait to see the RPO possibilities.

Just saw Vegas odds - Derrick Henry over/under next season 975.5 yards. And 10 TD's. Seems like he can do that in his sleep. In the final game of the season he clocked 21.68 mph - slowing down ? Getting out of Tennessee with that horrible offensive line - to the Ravens - piece of cake if he stays even remotely healthy.

The only way he goes over the number is if Lamar becomes a pocket passer. I'd take the total TDs bet.

A sliver of daylight and he's gone ! Should be plenty 10-20+ yard runs. Lots of big run highlights. I'm optimistic, but great chance to avg. 5+ yards/carry.

I think Henry should be able to at least match the 1200 from last season.

Ravens running backs combined for 1,615 yards last year with Gus Edwards being 810 of those yards. I think Henry is easily a couple hundred yards better than Gus, but it just depends on how many carries they give him. He'd need about 250 carries at his 4 ypc clip to get there, which he's eclipsed in 4 of the last 5 seasons and dang near got there in 8 games of his injury-shortened season.

However, no Harbaugh back has hit 250 carries in a season since Ray Rice in 2012. And Mark Ingram is the only back for Baltimore since Lamar Jackson's arrival to even hit 200 carries, although he did eclipse the 1,000-yard mark that year with an impressive 5 ypc.

They are a RB by committee team and the committee is spear-headed by Lamar. Honestly I’m not sure what to expect with Henry other than a bunch of short yardage TDs.
