Very impressive indeed. I get excited for the days he is on the bump.

The most boring part is that he lost his opening start while only allowing 1 run.

Removed after 7 IP on 82 pitches. Zero runs allowed.

I hope the Braves lose this game.

It probably won't happen with Alonso's & Tatis' year but if he can finish strong and if they fade just a little he should get some strong ROY consideration:

12-2, 2.32 ERA, 1.08 WHIP
14 of 21 starts allowing 1 ER or less
Ace of NL East Champ

I just love how efficient he is. Seems to never have a high pitch count. Always around the plate. Has similarities to Maddux.

His low K totals definitely seem to be keeping his prices down. He’s still very affordable IMO.

Cool fact:

Soroka is one of 145 pitchers in the live-ball era (since 1920) to make at least 24 starts age 21 or younger. His 2.52 ERA is the fifth lowest.

Sarah Langs ✔ @SlangsOnSports

Mike Soroka's road ERA is down to 1.35 after tonight.

He'll be on this list when the season ends. Right now he'd be 4th!

Lowest road ERA, qualified SP since mound lowered (1969):
1995 Greg Maddux: 1.12
2005 Roger Clemens: 1.32
1994 Greg Maddux: 1.37
1985 Dwight Gooden: 1.56

He’s like the opposite of everything happening in MLB right now and I’m not sure what to think about it tbh. He’s either:
A- getting extremely lucky pitching to soft contact and will have major regression with this style next year. Or
B- wise beyond his years capitalizing on Hitters Hr or bust mentality and will add velocity and increased 4-seamer usage to his advanced command to surprise next year and change his profile?
