Nothing huge, but won this for $280 in the December PWCC auction. Looks like a Best Offer on eBay just sold today for $385.

Nice!

I just gave up one in trade along with 8 other Brady slabs for a Mac Jones auto /5.

I purchased this one raw off COMC for about $20 in 2019, self graded at a $15 level so I wasn't into it much at all when it came back a PSA 10, along with all of the other cards I gave up in trade, all PSA 10's with one SGC 10.

Hopefully not from that dumb PBM account everyone else is engaging with.

Freshly slabbed...seller ready image lighting leaves something to be desired but still very happy with these! Merry Christmas to me!

Here's my contribution to the thread. I absolutely love the black refractors. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Awesome Brady's! I think there's still a LOT of upside in Brady refractors, even the base. High grades on them are tough because, well, the football market just really didn't care. I remember buying base Topps Chrome Brady refractors out of a $1 box at a show, sometime around 2017 or so. The reality of that, now, is just crazy - but even football collectors didn't care about that type of stuff.

Thanks. It's amazing to think about Brady prices. I'm sure a lot of us wish we could go back in time. That superfractor sale of 216k is just unbelievable. A lot of people on this site said that people don't/won't care about shiny 10+ year cards but the market says otherwise.

2017 Optic and Tribute Golds. Two of my favorites…I like the musketmen in the background on the base and the tributes are classy

A few people didn't want to hear that Brady's "12th year cards" could be valuable.

When I pointed out that the Jordan PMG was right around his 12th year card it feel on deaf ears. Now Brady's 12th year Prizm Gold is the closest thing to his PMG Green.... sought after, never comes to market, would do big money if it did. Other year Golds and rare color are following its value trend.

Congrats to everyone who got in at the right time.

Soliciting opinions on this 2003 Gold- I was hoping to get a small $50 economy PSA order in soon and wanted to send this in. Do you think the surface issues would knock it below an 8? The concern spots are the bottom right has some residue, there is a little scratch above the football, and a couple little spots near Brady's chest.

I finally got the whole rainbow together, though I have to get a better version of the blue. 7.5 is just too low. IIRC this is his 1st 1/1 logo but I can't say I know that for sure (and don't particularly care terribly much since it doesn't matter). EDIT: It doesn't show, but the Black is 8.5. The Emerald is ungraded (for now).

Is there a better or more safe investment right now than Tom Brady?

Yes. IMO, it is still Jordan. As great as a run-up as there has been on Brady's low-numbered refractors, we're approaching an incongruency in the market.

If you were to take the amount of total Jordan refractors and compare it to just the amount of low-numbered (say /100) refractors and prizms of Brady, you'd see Brady has hundreds to possibly thousands of more cards. Then, factor in the price of some of these cards vs. a similar Jordan goes for, plus, factor in Jordan's worldwide cultural relevance vs. Brady, and you'd see that Jordan, in fact, is not only the better investment right now, but he's also actually undervalued - especially his Topps Chrome refractors (1996-98).

I'm not attempting to take a shot at Brady - the run-up on his low-numbered refractor parallels is well deserved and overdue. However, the prices are unsustainable when looking at it objectively.

I would not consider cards to be a "safe" investment. They have no intrinsic value. Their value is based solely on how much other people desire owning them and "he who builds on people...."

Having said that, high risk comes with high reward. They may not be "safe" IMHO but the safest investments tend to have minimal returns. These have been having phenomenal returns. Given my collection, I hope it continues.

Wow. A Brady 2013 Prizm gold BGS 9.5 up in the Goldin auction. The 2012 will always be more sought after, but I'd argue 2013 has a better design and shine.

Great card for those of you who PC Brady.
