So I did some math. My 9 YO is studying Pascal's triangle, and I see a bit of an application here.
With 600 base cards & a 200 card set, you should get exactly 3 base, on average. So, from the triangle with 3 as the center we can use the distribution: 1 4 6 4 1 to determine the 5 most likely outcomes. If we call those the ONLY outcomes, it's: 6.25% - 1 card 25% - 2 cards 37.5% - 3 cards 25% - 4 cards 6.25% - 5 cards We know those aren't necessarily the only outcomes, but based on the model that's a good approximation. /math class Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Last edited by marterburn; 01-28-2022 at 01:21 PM. |
