2025 Bowman University Chrome Giddy Anticipation Thread. Basketball edition!!

My 3rd hobby box wasn't really worth showing off. One base Flagg, two Flagg Inserts, a Knueppel Blue Acropolis to 150, autos of Kate Koval and Tyler Hendricks. Thankful I pulled the JuJu for sure!

Six blaster boxes....One Flagg X-Fractor Warriors of the Paint and a base Pep Rally insert.

Nothing really else of note, just a bunch of base with some inserts and black refractors thrown in but nothing great.

Have three mega's left to open which I will do tomorrow and Wednesday.

Has anyone actually looked closely at the card backs?

I am sorting now under a sun lamp and finding substantial damage to many cards. 19 of 22 Cooper Flaggs are virtually unsellable. Certain players got it worse than others and Flagg was one of them. The backs are all dented up, like someone pounded them with some kind of tool. You can feel it on the front surface as well if you rub your finger on it.

I would have never noticed this if it wasn't for the lamp I'm using.

I purchased blasters and megas from 4 different locations, so I know it's not a small batch. Walmart, Target, Fanatics, and Topps...all the same damage on the same players no matter where the boxes were shipped from.

I can't be the only one...

Any word when the Sapphire version will hit? Hopefully soon, I didn't buy in on this product though I would love a Flagg 1st RC auto or two......

Last year's Sapphire didn't have autos so glad this does since the price point is higher

Price seems a little steep, and that auto checklist is 100 long.....ugh, wish they would have shortened it. Oh well, prob play the lottery w/ 1 box max. Hopefully each includes like 4-5 parallels.

I'm gonna pass on Sapphire. And most likely best too. But I already forked over $$$ for a case of Panini UConn hobbies, so I'm pretty tapped out for college cards. Lol

Can someone take a look at the ODDS on the Topps website and tell me how I'm supposed to read it for Sapphire specifically? Does what's listed mean it's the exact same odds as the regular hobby product (which seems doubtful) outside of the sapphrire selections listed at 1:160 packs?

You’re reading it right. The odds they posted don’t have any other Sapphire odds other than the Treasured Talents. Hopefully they update before the drop

Either way (vs. Bowmans Best) I'm hoping this will have far less auto dilution, so while potentially much more difficult to pull a good one, it could hold some decent value.
