UPS somehow damaged the shipping box and a bunch of cards within it. If you weren't notified via pm I'm pretty sure that your cards were protected by the ones that were damage Smackvay is trying to work something out with those members that were affected, UPS, and BGS.

Everyone that has a card in this mess has been contacted
mostly non autos were damaged as that side of the box was hit as that is how i separate them however a few autos were on that side as well
this is a first for me and im working on getting it resolved as fast and painless as possible
im contacting usps Monday to see if i can talk to an actual human and see what exactly is involved with a claim

I must've missed the update that they were already headed to bgs... thx again @smackvay any word on a turnaround time from bgs etc? Is 20 days 20 days or is it 20 working days meaning 4 weeks?

I'm also assuming that since I didn't get a PM that all of my cards arrived undamaged?

Thanks everyone!

it was filed on 3/3/15 and it says "under review"
I have no idea how long this takes or how it works

In the claim, did you specify how much we are claiming per card or did you claim a total amount to be divided up later?

oh no I had to photograph each card and make a separate claim for each card and then prove value for each card with a description of why I think it should be valued at that price
it took almost 7 hours to actually file the claim
of coarse you are not able to upload photobucket pictures so it has to be done with an actual camera and saved to the computer and uploaded that way

even though it isn't directly my fault it is my responsibility to make things as right as I can. Im not saying I will clean my bank account out to fix this but I am going to fight the post office until this gets fixed for the people that it affected.

I did get a letter from them toda in the mail and I have to take ALL of it to the post office tomorrow as they want it. the wording has me a little worried as it kind of sounds like they want the cards. I will update you guys as soon as I can

Hang in there guys
Mike

I highly doubt that. I would bet it's more of a requirement or perhaps they're bringing in a third party to estimate value.

Mike received the Damaged cards from Beckett so that Mike (owners of the damaged cards) could decide what to do with them. The rest of the cards (Not damaged) are still at beckett. Whether Beckett has begun the grading process wasn't really stated yet but Im hoping that Beckett started on those quickly when Mike let them know the others would be going to be claimed in the insurance process.

So who got what damaged? I am waiting on a package from BGS myself that is currently caught up in the USPS wash cycle. Sitting at it's last location for almost 48 hours? Not winning.... LOSING.....

Hope things work out for you guys.
