Ever see the Salvation Army trees with the tags hanging on them? They often ask for gift cards. Plus grocery stores have those little paper coupons at the register you tear off and they scan for a donation from the shoppers. I'd guess said grocery store then donates the funds in gift cards.

This is awfully strange the guy gets caught stealing, is a "captain" for salvation army, and has a boatload of Kroger cards. Well all know what's going on here.

Definitely not millions but he does have feedback for 66 completed sales in $125 increments - all since after the holidays and none previous to. I'm not smart enough to figure out how many he may have sold in total but I'm guessing there's a good amount of sales where no feedback occurred as well.

Kidding aside though, probably not him. Name brings up a twitter account that joins breaks and this was all over twitter so probably linked from there but was too late to see the video originally.

I sent an email via their contact form. I'm sure they will si.ply delete it, but everyone should blow that contact form up with his ebay account information, and links to video. I'm wondering if local news outlets would look into this, and potentially law enforcement.

The group break scam appears incredibly minor compared to the potentially stolen gift cards.

Yep. And it appears her mother and other family are also involved in the Salvation Army.

So likely this guy's wife has no idea what he's been up to and would probably be pissed to know that he "allegedly" might be stealing from the organization.

While I can see that the gift cards may be stolen, why would someone pay more than face value for them? Usually when EBay runs those coupon or Bucks promos, they exclude gift cards

I've sold walmart gift cards for 25 that bring 26-30 bucks. All other cards I've sold bring face value or just under that.
