Bought 3 TCAs today.
And 2 TC Variations I can’t stop buying and haven’t noticed prices jumping that much. |

Brantley at 2 is fine, but leading off is a mistake. Springer led off because of his speed and power. His OBP wasn’t amazing but he did well and provided a great presence at the 1. Brantley is a great hitter but Altuve is the best leadoff guy they have. If Bregman continues to roll don’t be surprised to see him at the top from time to time the way he works counts. I’ve said this in other threads before the Astros have had tremendous success with a RH lineup of Springer Altuve Bregman Correa Gurriel They haven’t had solid LH hitting except for when Marwin was there as a SH. Plugging Brantley, Tucker and Alvarez in def adds depth and better looks against lefties but going the traditional RLRL etc can affect a lineup. If you did that the lineup would be Altuve RH Brantley LH/McCormick RH Bregman RH/Diaz RH Alvarez LH Correa RH/Diaz RH Tucker LH/Garcia SH Gurriel RH Castro LH/ Maldonado RH Straw RH/McCormick RH/Garcia SH I also showed their bench guys in there and of course they would move around depending on who they played for on rest days or injuries. I’d rather see Gurriel protect Alvarez than Correa myself. His contact rate is far better than Correa. Brantley rests too. He hasn’t played more than 150 games in a long time. No matter what pitchers are going to see quiet a few RH batters when they face the Astros. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Put a lot of faith in modern medicine over the past two days. Picked up a gold foil, two rainbow foils, and a hobby foilboard, all PSA 10's. I've been teetering on going in on Yordan for the past year because of his knee concerns. I 100% believe health is the only thing that can hold him back and he looks like he is fully healthy and moving well. Feel like the upside clearly outweighs the downside right now with his prices. I went with flagship foils because the pops are shockingly low for all of them (24 rainbow, 9 (!) gold, and 2 (!!!!!!!) foilboard) and think they will age really well. I'll post a nice pic of the threesome when they come in.

He's so good. Lethal even. Nice to have him back. Talent like this should be showcased. RBI single. I hate the Astros but can respect supreme talent. 3 Ks in 21 AB so far. All called third strikes. He's getting dialed in.

Especially when he's about 10 percent the price of tatis and soto and similar age, he's 23! 5 to 10x potential, and even if he struggles, how low can he go I've picked up about five of the psa 9 foils for under 50 each on average, would like a 10 too, very tough grade Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk |

Those foils are so tough. I have a few and every one has some edge chipping.

Half showoff/half public service announcement, the Yordan/Robert dual RC from on-demand Dynamic Duals is an awesome card with a low print run and low price. Base has a print run of 950 and go for $25-30. The whole set is awesome and goes for about double that. PSA 10 Soto/Acuna from the 2018 set goes for $500+ for reference, so lots of upside here. And at worst you're left with a very cool affordable card. Pictured is my red /10, I have a handful of base as well.

Snagged this one "on a whim" during the offseason.
I *think* I paid $300 for it.....but certainly no more. Not sure on the real value, but I'm getting a feeling this card won't be going anywhere unless I got a true moon shot of an offer. ![]() I'm going to get it in an SGC slab just to protect it until PSA comes back to life lol. Who in TF knows with grading in this day and age, but it looks pretty sharp all around, I'd guess a 9 or 9.5. Value thoughts anyone? Thats a nice one above littlejimmies.

That card is way too nice for a sticker to be placed like that.

The main reason it looks bad there is the hologram reflection/sticker glare. Its beautiful in hand. I "took a chance" when I bought it, because the glare made it look like the auto was smudged badly. (and I figured thats why it sat on EBAY as long as it did) Regardless, looks great in hand, looking directly at it. But I know some don't care for sticker autos. Had it been on card, I just would have bought it that much faster. ![]() Now I need both these guys to get in a home run chase......
