I passed too, but "passed" in the sense that I already have 8 boxes coming (2 from Topps, 6 from eBay), and figured I don't need any more.

Still want to open some boxes of this and the original sapphire, still having a hard time justifying the price for so few cards. Will keep on keeping on trying to slow build a set one by one

I got fairly lucky on my first 2 boxes. $200 was kind of hard to justify. Not sure they will sit at $230, but they probably should.

Decided on not adding 2 more boxes after my original 2 boxes (monty and public pre-sale). Figured with the $460+ of 2 more boxes, those funds will be better spent getting singles towards completing my set

I think of the card releases from the original 3 movies, ROTJ was #3 in terms of card attractiveness. IMHO the quality - both photography and card design - just didn't meet the standard of Star Wars and ESB.

I can't wait to see the ESB release in Sapphire and was quite disappointed it got (hopefully only temporarily) skipped over.

That would make a lot of sense. Maybe give another Episode 4 release next year and set us up for E5 in 2025.

I'm guessing they'll do the remainder of ANH as one set - 3 series = 198 cards, so bigger than the first release but smaller than this one. Maybe they'll even throw in the stickers this time (including the ones they skipped the first time around).

I was shorted on Bowman Draft Sapphire and went through the process and received my missing hit about two weeks ago. They have also been filling damage replacement claims.

In short - it can't hurt to try.

So first time picking up some Star Wars cards outside of the CCG as a kid. Here are the results of my box. I am assuming this Luke is a sticker? Or what am I looking at here… it has the puzzle piece style backing (part of a larger picture)

Also various base and the 2 parallels from my single box.

Luke is a sticker and may end up being your best hit from what I can see. Some super nice base, pretty meh parallels though. I posted my break here and already got two people asking for the price on the vader sticker. So I'm guessing those are gonna be high demand for set collectors?

Not sure what to think about this guy:

Looks cool but also kinda weird?

Thanks I love it, it's just a hair off to the right. I plan to keep everything for now -- I have the two big parallels on ebay in case someone wants to cover my break lol but NFS on the rest until prices stabilize. Heck, I might be a buyer if I see another vader sticker well centered and cheap enough.

Two other middling parallels plus a decent mix of base including a Boba #47.

I think "sapphiring" the whole card in 2023 vs. just the border as in 2022 was a really good design choice.
