In my opinion this was one of the most important wins of the season. Mavs were staring down the barrel of a three game losing streak and didn't play well all game. However, the difference between good teams and bad teams is that good teams find a way to win, even on off nights. They make the most of their luck.

It's moments like this on which seasons turn. Do you let the Grizz start breathing down your neck as you worry about dropping to 8th place? Or do you make Portland nervous by being just one game behind 6th? Do you keep up your momentum going into the post season, or do you start to lose confidence and fizzle out?

Dallas didn't deserve to win tonight, but they did. Ugly wins are important. It was the break they needed to stop a rot from setting in.

WOW!!! Just saw that this morning!! Anyone else notice the stat that they have lost 25 games the last 2 seasons by less than 5 points (Most in the NBA) They are even just 1 really good player away from really competing in the West. Hopefully they get that person soon

I hope so and hope not lol. I've been buying some stuff again and it's been fun but I also don't mind seeing his stuff skyrocket.

Got the Blue Optichrome PSA 9 for $800 earlier this week.

Another iconic shot/win for the young man. He’s so darn fun to watch play. His body physically is still an anomaly to me; he’s not defined but strong enough to create space.

Sweet pickup for sure. One of my favorite raw purchases that got a 10 is that card. I like his stuff going up, but for people like me, and my long term hold of Luka, I don’t watch his prices as close anymore. I diverted to LBJ pick ups before all of them got way out of what I wanted to spend for raw card.

Agreed, but that shot was crazy and we know it will probably be #1 on the Top 10 this week and when he he that bubble shot things went up fast.

Luka definitely puts the round orange ball in the circular net a lot better than other people do.

That game the other night when the announcers were talking about the playoffs i have to agree with Van Gundy. The one announcer said "you just gotta try and get a top 6 seed to avoid the play in". And Van Gundy said he thinks it's dumb idea as did Luka when asked about it. He said they play a full season to get into the playoffs as a top 8 seed and now they have to play a playoff to get into the playoffs. And if you lose 2 games in a row you're out of the other playoffs.

It's been 8 team format since 1984 and now they want to change it to this dumb format. Why don't they just make it 10 teams, or like Van Gundy sarcastically said...they might as well just allow everyone in. To which the other commentator laughed but it's true. "you just gotta try and get a top 6 seed to secure a spot in the playoffs". I dunno i don't like it rant over.

Luka is in the LeBron mould with a far better shot at the same age (obviously not the athelticism) why the hell would you want him to play off the ball?

I think they need a Shawn Marion type with maybe a better shot and they are gonna be incredibly tough the next 10 years.

Basically a Kleber shooter that is more athletic and can defend. The reat of the winning will be up to Luka, KP and the coach.

when Luka is out it would be nice to have another distributor though, and Lonzo is actually decent off ball these days and a solid defender so Luka can hide on the weakest opposing perimeter player. I don't think Lonzo will ever live up to whatever 2nd overall pick expectations people had for him, but I could see him in the mold of Ron Harper / taller Derek Fisher as a backcourt partner to Luka.

Money would probably be best served elsewhere though, if Atlanta is still out on JC I'd go hard after him, he's a perfect PNR partner for Luka, would blend Powell's rim running abilities with Maxi's spot up game, and better rebounder than both.
