I was watching that too after your post. I think you got a deal. Lots of deals on PSA 9s right now. Especially since basically the slabs themselves are worth at least $100 for most Luka.

I'm certainly not. The guy sucks. And even worse, he'll probably take his player option unless the Mavs tell him he's going to be riding the bench.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt after coming down with Covid and taking awhile to recover. He just flat out sucks. For a three and D guy, he is really bad at both.

Rick is terrible. The FO is terrible. They’ve done nothing to improve the team the last two years. This year’s squad is arguably worse than last despite good YoY improvement from Luka. That is ridiculous.

Agree this years roster is worse. I know delon catches a lot of heat on this forum, but the guy was efficient as hell for us last year. Got to have a few guys that can come off the bench and give you some sort of reliability and understand their role... At this point in the season Rick should have a understanding of who his 7th-8th man is in his rotation. He seems to throw a dart at the board pre-game and role with it

Purples are a way tougher pull but the blue velocities have the jersey match thing going so they are more desireable currently. I've got both and I actually like the purple better for the clean refractor.

Blue velocity and it's not even close in fact if they were numbered imo they would be more desired then all the other velocity

The problem with this team stems from inconsistency. Inconsistency has a lot to do with rotation and cohesiveness. Some of this is Rick's fault, some is the player's fault's, some is covid's fault, some is no direct fault.

Each game seems to have a different rotation based on matchup. That simply because this team, defensively, is overpowered and/or undersized at each position on most nights. Therefore, the offense changes each night as well. A tall but weak, slow, non-effective center. A big but slow PG, and wings who are undersized yet still can't seem to contain on defense. Kleber is the only complete defensive player, who has looked AWFUL since back from injury. It's sad to say that Dwight Powell has actually looked better on defense than KP!

This lead to a lot of confusion on defense and offense. When things gel and flow, they look great. When they don't, it's rough. When offensive is flowing, there is not much transition defense needed. Without rim protection, transition defense is brutal.

The lack of confidence as a team is really sensitive as a result.

Porzingis, even when playing well, doesn't play to his strengths. Injury or not, it's mental.

Luka's emotions and free throws - mental.

Two main stars with mental/confidence issues - not a great combination.

Porzingis says he's a "flow" player ... well, that's not good enough. Being confident builds the flow. You're insanely tall... dominate inside! Create your own offense, get offensive boards. It's not Luka's job to feed him the ball in the post every play. And if KP wants the ball, stop taking these deep 3 pointers early in the clock where he barely catches it and has that ugly "quick" release that barely hits the rim. Clearly - those are BAD shots! even when they 9rarely) go in. Not flowing the offense at all.

In my opinion, KP will never fit in with a flow offense if he needs post touches. He doesn't know how to, or care to learn, proper post up offense. Too weak and too spazzy. Dribbles into double teams and rarely looks to pass out. head fake then 2 dribbles and pull up - he makes 1 out of 10 of these but people are excited on the one he makes? It's just bad offense.

Luka with the ball on every play is the key. Getting other players involved.

That brings up the biggest and clearest problem with the Mavs - open 3 point shots! MAKE THEM! YOU ARE NBA PLAYERS! No excuse at all for this.

Luka is an absolute BEAST scoring 30+ and getting his team the most open 3 point shots in the league. Absolutely pathetic for DFS to miss wide open 3s so often. Or Melli missing so many, same with Kleber and THJ being inconsistent.

More thoughts to come ... but for a first post this is enough lol

I have both as well. Blue velocity definitely has the eye appeal going for it but the rarity of purple is why I decided to ask. Appreciate the feedback from all

Only 23 qualifying guards in the league shoot at least 85%.
