My wife had constant pain in her arm yesterday. She believes it's part of the issues. Wednesday can't get her fast enough for the mammogram so we can at least start figuring stuff out. I just wish she would stop with the death stuff until we actually know something. She was talking today about contacting our Son's counselor so we can get some advice on how to break things to him.

I'm taking my wife out to dinner tonight; just the two of us. Maybe it will help just a little to get her mind off things.

Yes a night out alone with each other could be helpful, and tell her not to say anything to your son until she gets some answers on Wednesday no need to worry him if you don’t have to.

First stop was the Monroe Joint Fire District triple wetdown. I basically only stopped in to buy a shirt and take photographs of the three apparatus and whatever else was there when it started. They ruined good photos of the rescue but luckily I already photographed it in Harrisburg at the Lancaster Fire Expo. Got some photos of the two engines, a chief's car and utility and then left for the parade.

The parade was the best. The town was hard to get around in with all the cars and irritating bicyclists, but I finally found a good spot to park. This was the first parade I've been to in New York where the people weren't irritating and I had no issues with trying to record or take photos. I was even entertained during the parade by an Irish guy who spouted the conspiracy theory that the street had just been re-paved so the firefighters must have extorted that from the town or no parade. They had tons of good stuff in the parade but the best was Sleepy Hollow. They brought their black chief's car, orange chief's car, black over orange engine, black over orange tower, and 2 red engines and of course everything had headless horseman logos on it. The parade had tons of very old antique fire engines, new stuff, and great bands.

The last wetdown started a half hour late because the entire department went out on a barn fire about an hour and a half before the event was to begin. I've never seen a department not take themselves out of service for a wetdown; especially since there's a lot of beer drinking involved. Bought a t-shirt, but by the time the tower got back and was ready to go, the light was getting crappy. It was cool that Chester, NY brought their tower to the event to wetdown Chester, NJ's tower.

I went on eBay to see if a card I sold was still on there. It was and it is for sale for about 40 dollars less than the person paid me for it. Makes you feel better looking back at your COMC history and seeing you selling cards for 20 that now sell for 95.

I had to explain to so many people that the Amish are actually German and not Dutch.

Soundtrack album from the 1977 film "One on One". Along with Robby Benson at center, who starred in the movie, is Paul Williams (the short guy) & Charles Fox who wrote the lyrics and music, respectively, and the pop duo Seals & Croft who performed the songs. Jim Seals, the fellow in the beret hat, passed away on June 6th of this year. Their song "Summer Breeze" remains an all-time classic, particularly well-suited for this time of year.

I am a homeless outreach worker now. I worked there while I was in college than for 2 years after I graduated while working in my field. I really like the people that work there.
