It’s over corrected. RCs and 90s inserts are too cheap. Long term buy and hold. Very few will be capable of matching his legacy over the next 50 years.

Will be looking for rare Kobe inserts at national and a 96 TC Refractor. I also think prices will rebound, especially for the rare rookies, inserts and SP/SN autos.

Prices of Goat’s will continue to rise over time. I am extremely happy with my recent PSA sub that came back with 3 Kobe PSA 10’s:

2019 Prizm RWB Kobe’s PSA 10
2004 Bowman Chrome Refractor /300 PSA 10
2004 Finest x-fractor /199 PSA 10

I was stunned at prices for the last two. Cannot wait to get them in-hand.

I have about 15 ore numbered Kobe insets and a few RC cards to grade, but not at the current PSA prices.

I agree, I have been buying the last few weeks, and exactly RC's and 90's inserts. Markets tend to always overcompensate.

Well said. Kobe is on the basketball collecting Mt. Rushmore with MJ, LeBron and a 4th yet to be determined face. In the long run his stuff will only continue to rise because he's still the most popular basketball player ever worldwide.

Just traded for a 96 TC refractor in PSA 9. Great time to buy. Another PSA 9 sold in the PWCC premier 2 weeks ago for like $36k. Total steal given the PSA pop for this card IMO. I think the 96 Finest gold refractor is also undervalued -- arguably the most beautiful Kobe RC parallel and the pop for it is ridiculously low compared even to the TC refractor

Totally agree! I have the gold refractor w/peel but in a PSA 7, would love to upgrade to a psa 9.

If what my research (and nose) is telling me is correct, Kobe will soon surpass MJ at auction. The item is on its way from undisclosed tropical island location to the CSG grading vaults, fingers crossed. But in any case, it's a cool find. This is why I love collecting.

Hobby Mt. Rushmore top 4 has already been determined and it is MJ/Kobe/Lebron/Curry at the moment. Of course Giannis and Luka might have a say on that when their respective careers are over but top 4 based on their credentials and popularity are crystal clear

Putting Curry up there is shaky at best. Nobody has really secured the 4th spot yet.

Yeah, I don't think a lot of people are posting/searching BST regularly and from my experience they are much less willing to move on price vs IG/FB and even eBay.

You're saying a PSA 9 Chrome Refractor just recently sold for $36k? I had no idea it had dropped THAT much.

As mentioned before, seems like a serious over correction on Kobe stuff. I know it went too high too fast, but this is like Bitcoin dropping back to $29k. Not going to stay that way for long.

The fact that yours isn't graded makes selling on any marketplace more difficult these days. People are much less willing to take a $250 gamble. I don't buy raw unless there's enough meat on the bone and that has to include grading costs.
