13.32 Indianapolis Colts select, Leonard Marshall - DE
14.01 Indianapolis Colts select Gary Fencik - FS Gary Fencik is the Bears all-time leader in interceptions and tackles and was the heart of the Bears 46 defense, serving as Bears captain for most of the 1980's. Leonard Marshall pairs up with Leslie O'Neal at DE to combine for over 200 career sacks between them. Also known as the man who knocked out Joe Montana, Leonard was a premier pass rusher and also one of the league's best run stoppers at the position. And that, my friends, completes my 46-Defense. Good luck ever scoring on this bunch. DE- Leonard Marshall 83.5 Sacks DT - Bob Lilly HOF 94.5 Sacks DT - Buck Buchanan HOF DE - Leslie O'Neal, 132.5 Sacks ROLB - Justin Houston 89.5 Sacks MLB - Jack Lambert HOF LOLB - Wilber Marshall 45 Sacks, 23 Interceptions CB - Mike Haynes HOF 46 Interceptions CB - Willie Brown HOF 54 Interceptions SS - Donnie Shell HOF 51 Interceptions FS - Gary Fencik 38 Interceptions Last edited by 88horsepower; 05-05-2020 at 10:12 AM. |

I think whichever team has Joe Montana just winced in pain with that pick. Leonard Marshall broke Montana during that NFC Championship game.

Do we give him another 12 hours or do we keep going?

Personally believe it should be the same as if one of the bookends misses their pick, skipped again and pick both once they’re up again.

I’m not too sure. If this were fantasy football he’d be skipped. But I think by rule he has a fresh 12 hours to pick here. He was in a tough window from 7:30 PM-7:30 AM (or 10:30 AM-10:30 PM if he’s on the east coast. Or somewhere in between), with likely 9 of his 12 hours on the clock being spent while he was asleep. He’s been pretty quick with his picks so I’m fairly confident he’ll be online relatively soon (famous last words. Another 12 hours here we come!).

Hate to be an asshole and say just hurry and skip him since it’s still early and we have more posters ready to pick and we can get further along with the draft than just wait ,don’t know his situation on what’s goin on , but a part of me says to be patient we come along this far and let him pick once he’s on since he technically has 11 hours+ now for his pick, I say it’s up to OP on what he decides , it’s all for fun right..

This is how it's been done in other drafts but the OP isn't specific. Or at least this is sort of how it's been done. The manager who has to be skipped because of time will be skipped for future picks until they check back in and pick. After that they get the benefit of the clock for future picks unless they have to be skipped again. I know he'll be asleep until lunch but I guess we should wait until he makes a call on it.

Seriously? Give the guy his second 12 hours.
This is getting ridiculous with all of you trying to push everybody. It is making it rather annoying to even continue this thing. |

I agree we need to wait at this point. I’m a big proponent of everybody should have a smart phone/be able to do it within 6 hours, but he’s been good up to this point and shouldn’t get penalized too much imo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let's give him additional time on his second pick.

I asked because I don’t know. I’m not pushing to wait or keep going. I just don’t know. In fairness to everyone all around we should all have defined parameters so we know what to expect and don’t need to ask. The last time I decided to go with the flow and wait a while, since picks were going slow, mine came up very quickly and everyone was waiting on me over 8 hours needlessly. I don’t want anyone waiting that long on me. So I ask to know what to expect.

- 24 QBs have been drafted. 8 QBs remain to be drafted.
- 35 RB/FBs have been drafted. If we assume that about 50 RB/FBs will be drafted (a little more than 1.5 per team), then 15 RB/FBs remain to be selected. - Assuming we average 2.5 WRs per team, then about 35-38 WRs remains to be selected. - Assuming that only a handful of teams will run a 2TE set, we've still got 18-20 TEs to be selected. - 32 teams each need 5 offensive linemen. That's 170 players total. Considering that only 63 have been selected, that means that 107 offensive linemen remain to be selected. - Defensively I'd estimate that roughly 45 defensive linemen, 40 linebackers, 30 cornerbacks, and 30 safeties remain to be selected. - 30 kickers remain to be selected. - 30 punters remain to be selected. - 28 kick returners remain to be selected. |

Actually it might be simpler just to say that I'd estimate that the positions break down as:
And judging from this, I'd say that teams who still need to draft a QB or RB might consider picking these last considering that there's probably not a huge difference by the 25th and 32nd QBs or the 36th and 50th RB. Last edited by TheFrenzy; 05-05-2020 at 11:31 AM. |
