told myself i was done with S1 this year after my topps order came in last weekend and i've been pleased with the results and figured i shouldn't push my luck. also need to get some the rest of the sets broken out and sold and move out the other singles buutttttt...popped into a walmart today next to my grocery store and they had a full restock. grabbed a mega, two blasters, a bunch of hangers, and six single packs. i can't quit.

That’s me in a nutshell... said I was done, bought a monster and a hanger today.... but pulled a red 52 Acuna /70 and an Adell SP so all is well

Just got the 16 blue parallel pack box from Walmart, and thrilled with what I got. Chrome 1952 Yadier; 1952s for Tatis, Yelich, Robert, Pujols, Scherzer, Alonso, Bichette, Devers, Vlad Jr., Machado, Freeman, Lindor, Chapman, Bregman, Mize RC, and Evan White RC; RCs for Adell, Madrigal, Mize, Sixto, Spencer Howard, Bohm, Pache, Patino, Pearson, Tromp, and Varsho; plus base cards for Trout, Eloy, Robert, Paddack, Acuna, Scherzer, Tatis, DeGrom, Vlad Jr., Mookie, Yelich, Trea Turner, and Soto. Any of those stand out? Tatis, Robert, and the Nats are the only players I tend to keep, so would love to know if the others have any value.

So bummed out today. After checking for months every weekend for cards, I recently found out they restock my local Walmart on fridays so I’ve been heading up after work the past 2 weeks and having great luck finding a good assortment of Series 1 products (mainly want to find some football which seems impossible, but baseball is fine too). Went up today and absolutely nothing, not even nascar which makes me think they either didn’t restock this week or maybe it was a different day? I look forward to this all week...I even sent my brother up at lunch time to check it out, see if I could find some other stuff. Anyone know if they ever restock on the weekend?

Ah well guess that’s how it goes, hopefully next week!

Did a quick and dirty price update. I used the Gold /2021 as the baseline (enough volume, scarce enough so prices are high) and didn't factor in shipping (like I said, quick and dirty).

So I listed very large similar-sized lots of all the rookies, ending Sunday. So far bids are matching your guide but I’m curious to where they end- may also offer a good idea of tiers/rankings when it does. What I don’t understand is the prices of pitchers in general this release, all of them seem too high

I wish they would print more of this stuff. I still can't find it anywhere and hobby/jumbo pricing is through the roof.

Give it time, flippers are going to realize there’s no meat and it’ll start being left more- I suspect by mid month, it’ll be fairly easy to get at retail stores

Also seems like it’s starting to last a bit longer on shelves now that we’re starting to see blister packs and fat packs at targets. It sort of felt like early shipments were mainly blasters.

true, also places are starting to institute limits- my target has 3per and the walmarts are 1per; however, I haven't been able to find any but I do plan on opening more once I do (I think this years S1 is going to be one of those looked at fondly in the future, despite the massive PR increase, I would hold some if I had to self-control to)

So I went to Target the other day and just randomly happened to be there while they were restocking. The lady asked if I was looking for Sportscards (yes), and told me I had to go to the customer service counter, who then told me I had to wait for the first lady to wheel over the sportscards because they were limiting it to 2 boxes (of each product) per person. Fast forward, I’m waiting like 30-45 minutes and a line of about 10-15 similarly situated middle aged men started forming. We had no idea what they were selling. Fortunately, I was first in line and got my pick of the litter... but no 2021 Topps! Got a couple mega boxes of 2020 Chrome Update and a couple Hoops blaster boxes. As all eyes were on me, and I didn’t want to be the jerk who bought up 2 of everything (it looked like there were 3-4 cases), so I passed on Contenders FB and 2020 Heritage Update

Contenders FB in retail is garbage. (That might not be what I’d say in the Target thread, where people are asking for recommendations on the “hot products” so they know what to scoop and flip. )

Went to Target on Wednesday to see what was left after the 8 am opening and controlled product hand out at the electronics section. I was able to get there at 9 am and all of the Basketball and Football had been taken but lots of Series 1 blasters were left and a few blister packs. Went to a WM yesterday that had a 2 item limit and there were 16 hangers and a bunch of fat packs were still available. So gradually flipper fatigue with the product should set in but will probably be renewed when the tins first hit.

I can't speak to what you can pull inside as I haven't busted any but when the SKUs all go for 50% or much more over what you pay, I think it's worth the buy. I picked up 3 hangers yesterday.

We received 6 of our 8 hanger boxes that we are waiting on. The one hanger box had the same Snell relic and Scherzer SP we already pulled in a retail box.

I can't believe I found a mega box at Target, let alone this inside. After picking up a few value packs and hangers, I couldn't even pull the base which I was chasing, so for this to be the 3rd Adell in the box, I'm pleased! I'm a fan, and think he'll turn it around after a slow start so this will go in the long term stash!
