I watched it a couple weeks ago and was a fan. Great movie with a different perspective on slasher flicks.

We watched this "Frozen" last night, and I'd recommend it.
For those who saw "Open Water", it's very like that, but up in the air instead of the water, and with wolves instead of sharks.

A new movie I'd recommend is "Bloody Hell". I'm not done watching it but its certainly entertaining over half way through. Its sort of like Ash from Evil Dead was abducted by the Texas Chainsaw Massacre family.

Just got my "Pumpkin Head" steelbook in the mail today. Going to watch tonight to see how the 4K scan is compared to Blu ray.

Want 30 seconds of entertainment?

Just Google “Leprechaun series ranked” and see just how many aspiring indie movie critics have each written versions of the exact same article. I don’t know if pretending to watch each of these ridiculous movies and then ranking them is a rite of passage in the industry or a sign that your career isn’t panning out, but there is a shocking number of these articles.

You Might Be The Killer is a solid movie.

Not great or even “really really good.” But solid. B+.

If you liked Cabin in the Woods or Scream or Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon or any other “meta” horror/slasher film, then you’ll enjoy this one. Especially with the casting of Fran Kranz and Allyson Hannigan. However, this movie is definitely a distant second to each of these more original films.

In the end, the plot of the movie feels more like the Halloween episode of a popular TV series. The entire movie revolves around Kranz talking on the phone with Hannigan and recounting most of the plot through flashbacks. It’s still entertaining and really well done, but it just doesn’t feel like a feature film plot when all is said and done.

Still, with some popcorn and beer, it makes for a great movie night.

It was released a while back. Not quite as bad as some of the recent sequels, but still crappy.

I think I dropped off at In The Hood. Looks like they made three more after that, and In The Hood was such a hit that they made Back 2 The Hood.

"Leprechaun: Origins" isn't part of the series but it was better than most of them. That's not saying much mind you, but it puts a different spin on the Leprechaun "universe".

Not horror but "Below Zero" on Netflix was definitely worth the watch.

I bought Dark Was the Night based on suggestions here. I liked it a lot up until the end. My issue wasn't really the plot or how it ended...I was seriously disappointed in the final monster design. It kinda ruined the overall experience to me. I think that's why I've gotten into some of the recent monster movies like Underwater, The Ritual, and Come Play. There's a payoff at the end.

Speaking of Come Play, I really liked that. Incredibly creepy film and the design of Larry was phenomenal. I'd suggest taking a look at that one for a real atmospheric monster movie. Kind of reminded me of a combo of Babadook and It Follows.

Watched Hell Fest and We Summon The Darkness Friday night as a double feature given that they have similar plot lines.

Both were slightly above average flicks. Gave them both 3 out of 5 stars.

Hell Fest is like a less-gory version of Haunt. It's not a bad teen slasher flick at all even though the lead girl kind of turned me off with how rude she was to the park employees. (She didn't want to go and she makes sure to let the employees know just how not-scared she is—though this does lead to a pretty unnerving scene where she actually ends up helping the killer to track down another victim...) The acting was solid and the massive, sprawling horror theme park looked like the kind of place I'd like to visit in real life.

We Summon The Darkness gives away its twist pretty early on but the dialogue is actually pretty organic and doesn't feel forced even though it has to do a lot work to pair up the three guys and the three girls. The first half of the film felt really natural. The second half isn't bad, but it's definitely weaker.

Any good nudity like in the Harvey Weinstein-produced classic "The Burning"?

Also watched Hellfest. Very boring and no boobies.
Watched Death of Me on Netflix a couple of days ago. Well most of it, I gave up and turned it off.
Not horror, but watched Blood Father with Mel Gibson. Pretty decent flick

Just finished watching the American remake of Martyrs....I should have pretended it didn't exist and stuck with just having seen the original.

I don’t recall any skin other than three pasty dudes tied up in their boxers in We Summon the Darkness

They don't make 'em like Harvey used to anymore.

Had to get this thread back on the 1st page! Watched "Grabbers" last night. I've seen it several times but it makes me laugh every time. It's a good "creature feature" / comedy with real dry Irish humor.
