800’000 cards made. X15 dollars

That’s 12 million dollars. So they will make 6-8 million dollars

I've gotten ultra pro, bcw and unlabled across my orders.

Something just dawned on me: if you want your cards shipped to you fast, order them early and be sure to place each card in an order. For example, I think for the Jeter/Saladeen order I made the mistake of ordering it with three other cards so it could be waiting on one of the other cards because they seem to ship these project 2020 cards with the other project 2020 cards in the same order.

Gonna take that approach from now on even though it's going to look like a million e-mails.

By the way, I'm not upset about this, just letting folks know my experience. Unlike other releases these seem to fairly uniformly go up as time goes on.

I was just listening to Ben Baller's podcast for the first time.
Around 5:00-12:00 mark of EP 78 (latest episode), Ben is talking about Project 2020.

His misunderstanding with Blake and how it is all love now. Etc etc...

It was really worth listening to, and I feel like I know his character more now.

I do believe someone suggested they raise the price of the AP's from $199.99 to maybe $349.99 or more.

Here's a summary of the podcast:

He wants to gain new fans who didn't know about him

He said he will sign cards of 5 players max

Will grade his cards via PSA

Wants cards to hold value forever

Is happy Beckett ran a story of his Trout card on their front page

Wants to keep the value up

He loves and understands the importance and value of Mike Trout to the hobby

Loves his Mike Trout card so much he won't do another one... he said he will #@#@#@#@ with the dodgers instead lol

He cusses alot and that's okay, unless you melt after every single bad word then don't listen to it. He's very confident in the way he speaks, I like that.

It's a good listen if you got time.

I'm wondering to myself as I browse these listings on eBay. How many times has this card that hasn't even been shipped been sold? This could take forever to get to you if you buy off eBay. Could be exchanging who knows how many hands unless they have a picture of the card in hand on their listing.

Pre order, you never know. If it's in hand, then usually get it within 5 days

LOL, you do realize that Topps is a for-profit organization, right? Do you work for a place that runs for profit? Do you realize that companies provide goods/services that people want, in exchange for money that the people working for said company then use to trade for other goods/services? This isn't "pure greed", it's simple business economics. If it were "pure greed", they would run their own auctions for the APs and gold border cards to capture all the inefficiency currently escaping to the secondary market.

Some of you guys are so silly. LOL.

Everyone realizes this...

A couple 100 people are the main supporters of this program through topps.com

But only a handful of people were getting the artist proofs

With the millions of dollars Topps is making off this project

Many believe they should support all the buyers and make it fair

Which I am fine with inserting them in orders or push the price to 299.99

That’s not accurate. I’ve ordered two days worth of 2020 cards in one order and they have split the shipping. They ship cards that are ready to go. Which is funny since they must lose money on shipping when they do that

Can’t help but wonder if the real opportunity is actually giving away the artist proofs to people that order the base. Could see the sales of the base rise significantly above what they are making off the APs. Could end up being a win win.

I couldn’t giveaway an ichiro Ermsy this weekend. Unfortunately I sold my only one for $32. Now they are going above $60. This set is cray.

Just grabbed a couple more autos from Ermsy. These sub 2k PR Ermsy cards (Ichiro and Gooden) are probably gonna have some serious demand.
