Crazy threes question, you have to be 13 in each of these decades in the third year of the decade which one are you choosing

1943 middle of world war 2 but you are okay as you are too young to be drafted.

1953 world war 2 is over and America is top dog and it is pretty awesome to be an American.

1963 things are changing politically and Kennedy has been assassinated and civil unrest is really starting to get out of control.

1973 Nixon has been forced to resign due to watergate and we are beginning to get into a gas crisis and opec and other foreign nations are screwing around with the United States and yes I was 12 at this time and saying eff Iran.

1983 after Reagan replaced Jimmy carter as president America started looking up again, winning an Olympic gold in hockey after beating the Russian empire and then Finland for the gold and then having Reagan tell Gorbachev tear down the wall was the biggest point in my life as an American.

1993 Bill Clinton is in the white house receiving head from Monica Lewinsky but it could be worse for American’s as most people let things be and no major wars are going on.

2003 2 years after the twin towers had planes from terrorists fly into them during president bush’s term and spending forever in the Middle East and guess what Americans are still there.

2013 Obama begins his second term and things aren’t horrible but things could be better.

2023 Gee it’s great to have Biden as president as we watch inflation and green influence take over thank goodness I only have a short time left.

Okay gang which decade do you want to start at 13 years old, my two are 1953 and 1983 this isn’t meant to be political it is just meant to ask the question of when was the best time to be 13 throughput all of these decades.

I was 12 for the 1993 example.

Sorry I am on one of my backwards trips through time I am listening to Wolfman Jacks late 1950’s early 1960’s broadcasts. I prefer the past than to see where our future is headed.

I don’t even thinks he has any interest in a relationship he has his friends on the internet but he hardly goes out. If there were a chance of me having grand kids I might want to live a little longer.

My nanny is 82. I had kids late, for my family standards.

I hope you have some grandkids.

Nah, you've got at least another 20 years.

Here's hoping you get to make the 1,000,000th post in this thread.

Either 1993 or 2003..

When the last human—dying in a cave of fallout shelter somewhere—reflects back on the species run here on earth, they'll realize that the absolute luckiest ones were those who spent their childhoods in the United States in the 1990s.

Homecoming weekend at Newberry College this weekend. I somehow ended up with a prime tailgate spot. They don't let alumni pick their spot for homecoming, you pay and they do a raffle for spots then assign them. Somehow, I got spot 9 which is right by the action. I doubt I even make it in the game.

I would pick 1993 no doubt. The 90's were so much fun as a kid.

As I was walking out to go to drill, I had a phone call from the collision center. The seat belt tensioners for my car came in yesterday afternoon. The guy was going to talk to the technician to get them installed today and then take the vehicle over to the dealership Monday or Tuesday to get them calibrated.

The end may finally be near.
