I can't remember exactly who was on the card. I pulled one of those Christmas stocking inserts the year they came out. I sold it to someone for $40. I'll always remember that deal because of that is a design that is definitely different. Weren't those case hits or more back then. Ah the good times of collecting. I went to the show in Albany,NY this week specifically looking for older boxes. There was only one minor decent box.

I'll be posting in this thread as soon as I acquire four more cards, to show off the first milestone in my search... it's in my signature.

I like the significance of this Bonds... since he did "challenge" 70!

nice pick ups. I've relegated myself to realizing I'm never going to own the 24k Frank.

So happy to see this thread getting love all these years later! I'm trying to make my way back into the hobby over the summer. Being a teacher has it's perks I'm looking forward to posting some of my recent Alex Rodriguez pickups when they get here!

How's the market on this stuff lately? Was following it closely a couple years ago and was wondering if the big increase we saw then was a bubble or more permanent.

Love this thead! If someone would be interested in the GB, there's a case of 98 Flair Showcase on ebay for $700. That would be some fun!

That would be a blast for sure! I'm definitely tempted if we could get a third maybe?

Not sure if anyone would be interested but I am going to get a website I started helping out with oldschoolbreaks.wordpress.com going again now that I'm on summer break. John did some top notch reviews of products on there.

I'm going to order a box of 2000 mystique and hopefully something a tad older to review on there, as well as highlight some recent Rodriguez pickups. Would anybody else like be interested in reading the blog or writing their own reviews too?

Picked these up this week. Would trade if anyone has something big they would like to trade down for.

Would people be interested in starting a new 90's inserts thread? There's a lot of empty photobucket pictures here!

I can only talk from the Frank Thomas side of things, but I've been back in to collecting his stuff over the last 2 years and a majority of it has done nothing but go up.

Default My only 2 inserts so far. More on the way!

Those on the way are actually from the 90's but these are on the cusp on 90's so hopefully there's no objections! I will also have a scanner within the next couple of weeks.
