The ignore feature is a wonderful thing, that's all I'll say about that. It's amazing how many times I block someone, completely forget why I did, and then wind up having that decision validated somewhere down the road.

ANYWAY probably a well-timed day off today, hopefully Sho can reset mentally.

Since cards are fun to look at, here's a recent pickup. Knocked another of the TTY set off the list.

Yeah I really like those. Brings back a lot of nostalgia, I don’t know too much about the set though

Edit : I know about the transcendent set just haven’t looked at the TTY checklist before.

In other news, while this may be massively over produced to the moon, I realized I never actually did pick one up. Changed that yesterday with this cheap fine 9.

I couldn’t care less if cards go up in value or are worth anything long term. I buy what I like and if I end up a millionaire cool, if not I still had fun. Enjoy the collecting journey guys

My vote would be a 2018 Bowman Chrome non-auto parallel. To me that is his best looking rookie (mostly because it is of him hitting and I just LOVE that image). And the refractor and blue are amazingly clean . However, as a disclaimer, I do have them listed on eBay... But they are really only a PC card overall

Dont kid yourself, that fathers day was never worth 5k, not then and not now, but almost. No other 700 parallel has declined in value since last year, especially not the low numbered ones as the fathers days is.

Oh, now it doesnt matter. I appreciate the fact that you fawn over tb but that doesnt negate that hes sleazy. Im sure tb convinced that guy the fathers day was great a buy at the time as he took his money and spent it on something he thought was actually a good buy. As i mentioned before, he seems to be an excellent salesman, albeit a sleazy one.

There was a psa 9 indy that just sold on ebay for $3500, right at your limit. Why dont you think you could find one in that range as well?

Honest question, what do you want TB to do when somebody asks about which Ohtani cards to buy?

Not answer? Only recommend cards he doesn’t currently have for sale? Only mention 1-2 cards he has for sale? What would make him not sleazy in your opinion?

Full disclosure, I don’t know TB on a personal level. I’ve PM’d with him a few times talking/asking about certain cards over the last year or so. I just found out about 2 days ago that he even sold cards on eBay and I had to ask him what his eBay ID is so he’s certainly not pushing his cards in particular in private messages to people.

Man, my new friend is going hard in the paint early today!

That father's day blue was sold at the peak Ohtani euphoria in 2021 on MYSLABS. There were zero negotiations or ways to communicate on that platform in 2021. 90% of all cards also overshot their peaks during covid and never reached it again. I guess that's my fault too.
