Can't be helped because of the bed-crapping by USC. They're now accusing Michigan of stealing signs (to explain second half performance), being on steroids, and firing up the Harbaugh-to-NFL rumor mill. 11 Worriers in total shambles. Several times a day, I break out in audible laughter about the situation.

Well, it's not optimal. But you can't have a 3 team playoff. Had the game result flipped, Michigan would be getting in having not played the Champ Game too. It's just the way things played out this year.

I think there is some interesting debate that could be had on this subject…Mega Conferences and unbalanced schedules, Conference Championship Games and they selection process, etc.

Personally, I’d like to see smaller conferences (10 teams each), full round robin within conference, two best records play CCG, every conference winner gets an automatic playoff bid, and fill out a 16 team playoff with computer rankings selecting the “fill out” spots. Plus, have some form of predetermined rotation on who plays whom in the non-conference based on where they finished the year before within their conference (NFL style). Something like that.

Who is supposed to go in over them? Shoot, MSU should be happy for the extra revenue to pay Tucker's buy-out.

I follow some pretty "out there" OSU accounts on Twitter, and I really haven't seen any of that. Even the sign-stealing seems the most far-fetched since the Buckeyes broke Clemson because of that.

Can you imagine if Day beats UGA and then loses in the title game to Michigan? He'd never been able to set foot in the state of Ohio again - he'd have an NFL contract signed before the clock hit zero.

Like I mentioned above, complaining (or conspiring) about sign-stealing is dumb. Everyone does it, and if they don't do it, you should fire them and hire someone that is.

I will say, though, I don't think a Pelissero/Rapoport report is exactly Ohio State sabotage. That's a big leap to take when those are top tier NFL reporters (and OSU has virtually no noteworthy sports reporting alumni to pull those strings).

Reasonable- I just rolled it all into one. The strength and conditioning coach allegations were also pretty rich.

I hate the idea you punish a team for losing against a (generally at worst) very good team in a conference title game while rewarding the team that wasn't good enough. Can't use TCU as an example of not moving because the only reason they didn't move from 3 to 4 was committee obviously didn't want Michigan/OSU as a semi matchup.

If teams don't want to be punished for losing a conference championship game, they should simply win the conference championship game. Those are the stakes to it - you can play your way in (example: 2014 Ohio State) or out (example: 2022 USC).

If tOSU doesn’t deserve to go in playoffs, neither does TCU. Neither won their conference. You either only take conference champions like 3 loss KSU, 3 loss Utah, and/or 2 loss Clemson or you look at the whole body of work. Period.

This has been a consistent opinion of mine since Bama first backed in years ago. There's no goal post moving and this isn't because I didn't want OSU in.
