How do you NOT pay for it?
I dunno, but I'm sure that seller is happy about it!

How many Jordans could one reasonably expect in here? Of those, here's my rough estimate of how they would grade out

1% PSA 10s
5% PSA 9s
40% PSA 8s
49% PSA 7s
5% PSA 6s

What do you think?

What do you think?

Isn’t it about (3) #57’s per box?

Regardless, your odds are about right and this would not be a good investment... I guess unless you purchase and leave sealed.

I'd increase the percentage of 8s and drop 7s about 20 pts. Though I might be biased since my one box sample was all 8s. The bigger question is the rate of OCs.

Then, once we’ve got all the Jordan math figured out, we can add in all the other players’ value—then the stickers...

It's as much a card as any number of wonky modern card designs.

I've been tempted to sell mine now as well with how prices are, but feel like I should hold out to see how high these go.

I think that's a good idea. I'm sure I'll have a bit of remorse for selling when the 8 is at $10k, but I bought it for $50 years ago, so...

I know I've been tempted to sell a few of my high end Jordans but with the red hot demand and market on fire right now for anything 80s MJ related, I am holding abd riding it out.

It sold the day before Goldin ended. I wonder if he ended up shipping the card at almost 400k less than Goldin's two.

Each box has 3 with a 3 in 11 chance at a 4th. So 12 to 16 out of 4 boxes with 13 being the most likely outcome.

I have mint sets of 86, 87 and 88 with only #57 graded. It is tempting to grade the keys and sell. Those cards other than the RC have been cheap for so long it is tough to not sell at these levels.

Sorry, I meant I sold on Facebook (not eBay). Still crazy. I'm honestly thinking about rebuying one for $2500 just to stay in the game. Thoughts? How high can the 87 go?

I don't see things slowing down anytime soon. Eventually things will level off and stabilize.... but I don't see GOATs losing much value when the level off happens.

If I have enough scratch to buy 6 boxes I would think I had enough to buy a PSA 10 as well - so I am not tempted to bust them. Of course if you buy 6 boxes you have to crack 1 or 2 of them, but the value in those is keeping them unopened.

MJ, Kobe and LeBron are setting new price levels every day...more like every hour actually. I think the demand vs. supply for their high end stuff is going to keep prices either stable or moving higher. Just don't see a drop off coming for the guys that everybody wants in their collections.

Then again, it's interesting that the PSA 10 on eBay hasn't been hit for $695k. Wonder if that means the one at Heritage will go for less than all the Goldin 10s.
