Got an upcharge email this afternoon, saw the estimated completion date shift from 11/6 to 12/30. Upcharge email contained grades for all the cards. I think I read somewhere earlier in this thread it's not uncommon for the ECD to get pushed back, then forward when grades/shipping is imminent.

Where are you all getting these dates from? My order only says when my two ticket stubs arrived and the order was prepared. They have been sitting in assembly for what seems like a month now and I feel like I will never get them back.

People check the status of their order daily if not multiple times in a day lol and jot down/screen shot any kind of movement. Tickets seem to be a smaller grading team (and possibly takes more research time to confirm label data) than cards so those items move a lot slower than cards. Most likely will take closer to the full estimated completion time.

A 54% gem rate on 90s Jordan cards is nowhere near a strict grader. He/she might be the most lenient grader there. That's so far above the average it's not funny.

Not super thrilled with PSA currently. Sent in 4 small orders in July/early Aug.

Order 1: 12-card vintage order that’s been in “grading” since early Aug. Didn’t see that one taking a quarter of a year (+) in “grading.”

Order 2: small Ultra modern NBA sub in Research & ID since August. Sent at the same service level and in same box as my completed order below. No movement on that in months.

Order 3: Completed order—22 cards, 3 10’s (thought there would be 12 10’s conservatively). Also a pretty badly damaged card that went without notice.

Order 4: “Green check mark” for now 4 weeks—they damaged a card (this is my 4th damaged card in the last 70 cards subbed—to go with 2 cracked slabs). They told me the order would be complete later that day—but instead, it’s been a week and they have since added nearly 3 months to the estimated completion date—pushing it into mid-January.

The multiple damaged cards recently are enough for me to start to be weary of sending more. Not sure if they are robot-handled or what but they really need to get that fixed. That’s a 5% damaged card rate!

Confused why if cards have green check assembly they don’t pop for weeks. Did they contact you to let you know your card was damaged?

So it looks like based off some recent sales of the card I submitted, as long as it grades out to at least a 9, my declared value of $1k (max for a Value XL sub) is likely lower than what PSA will value the card at. Saw a PSA 9 sell for $1.7k and a PSA 10 $2.5k.

At what point in the grading process should I expect to receive an upcharge email, assuming PSA determines the value of the card exceeds $1k?

I appreciate the help. Just got off of the phone with the customer service agent from PSA and she said that they are analyzing current market values of the cards. Half of the cards I submitted were Ohtanis so hopefully they weren’t waiting for the World Series outcome before giving an estimated value. Fingers crossed that none were damaged

Honestly, even if they were doing that, probably at best his values held and more likely is they might have even dropped a tiny bit.
