First Buzz: 2024 Panini Prizm WWE wrestling cards

I noticed the Lexis King prizm card does not have a RC logo. Wouldn’t this be considered a WWE rookie? I know he has a AEW release, but would be very surprised if this wasn’t a rookie.

This was discussed in reference to Jade Cargill if you go back, seems AEW wrestlers didn't get the "RC".

On another not two huge 1/1's hit already, guess it's good as it's saving me money from buying hobby lol knowing Panini the Undercard 1/1's are probably all in regular hobby anyway though lol

Thanks….thats interesting AEW wrestlers didn’t get. Rc. I need to catch up on the discussion. That’s right Jade is a top rookie to seek. Any other top rookies in the set?

I’m more of a casual wrestling collector (huge fan though) but picked up a box of prizm and pulled a 1/1 Damien Priest black auto. Not sure what I want to do with it yet. I normally collect ROh wrestlers and their autos, so that’s certainly a nice one. Especially with his title reign going well. Think the feud with Finn will help elevate both of them.

Fanatics will probably do the same thing with WWE they did with UFC. Release 2 products in 8 months both at "market price", both products nosedive, and kill future interest.

Yeah I can't even be mad at Panini anymore, now instead of a Tonga Loa /10 I may have a chance at a Mosaic Gold Wemby /10!

To Stackfan: The only other noteworthy actual rookies imo are Jaida Parker, Oba Femi and Kelani Jordan but I wouldn't necessarily suggest draining money into them. Honestly and someone can correct me if he already has one but the next big WWE rookie will probably be Joe Hendry whenever his contract ends and he signs full-time.

glassofwater: I think this is the last year but you never know, I'm guessing they signed similar length deals with UFC/WWE and WWE came a year later and UFC went back to Topps this year meaning if it's same length WWE would leave next year. The only thing is similar to "injury time" does the time Panini was unable to release product during the lawsuit mean there contract length is extended? The issue there is I don't think they'd allow both companies to release WWE product in the same calender year although Prizm and Chrome in one year would be pretty cool.

I actually don't think Hendry will have the RC badge, as he does have an Impact card. Seeing as Panini acknowledges UD for AEW & BBM for NJPW (Tama Tonga), if they follow the same pattern then Hendry would just be a regular card

I’m trying to complete Rock, Roman and HHH rainbows (including 1/1’s if I can find them) and I forgot how incredibly difficult this is going to be with all of the different variations now. Anyone know how many there are this year including retail?

Opened my hobby box tonight--autos could be better, but could be worse, and got some cool stuff for my PC. The Cody Card I wanted, the Muta, purple Gunther, several shiny cards. My son loves Cena....this was fun. Likely pulling 10 out and selling rest.

Wow, last time I checked for TNA cards I remember it was 2023 Series 2 (last under Impact branding) but I was kind of like meh since it didn't have Hendry etc and a chance at a Trinity holofoil was cool but I knew 99% are only gonna care about her WWE cards especially when it was clear she was going back. Looks like the previous series had Hendry and even his pic on card packs, good to know must of been in-between my non-consistent checks for TNA cards. Also read an article that says packs have sold from $300-$800 (unconfirmed) since he's blown up which is nuts. Ok next name off the top of my head that isn't the complete package Hendry is but still has tons of hype, Jacob Fatu. Do you know if he has any obscure MLW or other cards or should he get the "RC"?

I think Jacob only has really obscure (AAW for example) and custom cards, so I'm 99% sure he'd still get the RC badge. Panini recognizing UD is surprising enough but I don't think there is any way they'd recognize something that lower level, they haven't in the past.

Absolutely love the picture they used for the Great Muta autograph cards (less love the picture on the base card), going to end up buying a fair number of his cards once prices settle. Which already aren't too bad, in my range anyway.

Good to know, with the speed (relative to debut not release dates lol) of Panini WWE we may end up seeing him in a Select or something then. Would help drive sales a little if his first card was in a Select or Chronicles.

Question regarding Prizm that isnt really a true sales post yet: I have tons of numbered cards and inserts from hobby boxes I'd like to move on the cheap. Do all sales post require coining, or can we post a list of what we have available and ask that people PM us? I have tons of base and inserts and there's no way I could photograph them all.

Most people don't care at all about coining on here, that's just for the facebook groups with overly aggressive admins

Oh you have no idea....well maybe you do. I had a group admin tell me my post wasn't coined when it was, plus name and date were on there. Too many other groups without so much hassle.

Anyway, are you saying I can create a post without photos or price just saying I have the following cards, etc.?

Yes you can.

Most people will just ask for a photo of a specific card if interested. I'm not sure your definition of "On the cheap" but personally I'd add a pic for cards $25 and up at that point you'd probably want to see a picture of the card you're buying but even that's not required.

EDIT: Just saw you mentioned no price as well, not sure if that's allowed but it's probably best to at least have a price in my opinion, if not it just feels like you are auctioning to the highest bidder, and will also just get a ton of offers where you're basically giving them away lol

Gotcha. Yeah, I have little trouble selling the $25 and up cards. I just have a lot of inserts, numbered etc even base that people might need to complete their sets. Previous post abput coining prevents me from doing it in my FB groups. I could do a claim sale, but that seems like a lot of work.

Damn I barely started getting prizms for my people who have a base card this set: Drew McIntyre, Charlie Dempsey, Austin Theory, Elton Prince, Myles Borne, Naomi, and JD McDonagh and blaster boxes are being opened now...

So I have like 5 or so more versions of things to get. I won't really bother with the green/cracked ice ones but the numbered ones will be my focus and if I see them for a decent price I will surely have to bite.

I know they aren't concerned about it but card makers these days really screw over people that like to collect rainbows. Feels like each year it gets a little worse. Usually if you were a rainbow collector once you got the 1/1, everything else kinda fell into place (if you were patient waiting and aggressive buying). But 2024 WWE Prizm has THREE 1/1s (or four, unsure if all wrestlers have a 1/1 white sparkle too), two /5s and a /8. Getting four 1/1s may be literally impossible for many wrestlers as some boxes are never opened, other people don't sell, etc. Even getting one is lucky but four is borderline impossible.

I could see if I was a rainbow collector that getting the "main" 1/1 would be enough to complete it but in the back of your mind you know there are two/three other packaged 1/1s out there. Just brutal.
