I agree. I love seeing the ships that have previously only been seen in space settings cruising around on planet. I got similarly excited seeing the x wings flying low in the earlier trailer. Soooo excited for Dec 17th!

having read the EU, I've made peace with Chewie being gone for awhile now so if they take him out in Force Awakens it won't have as much of an impact as it will for those uninitiated.

I interpret Han's line as him believing in the "hokey religion and ancient weapons". That's a pretty sweet connection. I'm guessing you have to be over 40 to appreciate it, but that part for me is the goosebumps part of the trailer.

I realize she's peering over a furry creature who has presumably died, but I can't imagine they'd show a hint of that in the trailer.

Chewie had a planet size moon crush him and millions as he gave his life to get Anakin Solo (Han/Leia's youngest) on the Falcon to Han......that had me tear up shouting "NO! NO! NO!" as I read so JJ is going to have to trump that if he wants to kill Chewie off and have me bawlin'....just saying.

So they refuse to show pretty much any glimpse of Luke Skywalker yet they show Chewie's corpse in the trailer? If that's true then that makes no sense to me.

Vector Prime is so good. Chewie's death would have a huge impact, especially with Han. Just like the books.

I am on board with this. I think Han will die.
I also believe rey is using an alternate name (something similar to what obi wan did).Rumors are it is Kira. THis would lend credence to the brother sister thing.

I think Rey and Poe are brother and sister and Kylo Ren is one of Luke's kids. In the end either Luke kills Kylo or Luke's other offspring does. I think this all stays within the Skywalker family.

It becomes really interesting when you consider what a goofball Yoda was acting like during the first scenes he appeared in during ESB. Imagine if he'd have acted that way for the entire movie and during his scene in ROTJ. Yoda would have been beyond annoying. Yet, he's the ultimate Jedi master.

I think they showed Poe's parents in a recent Star Wars comic.
I think Rey and Kylo Ren are Leia and Han's kids.

Getting ready for next moth. Watched episodes IV, V, and VI yesterday and introduced the series to my Step Daughter who had never seen a Star Wars movie ever at age 11. She was so excited after watching a New Hope that she went online and watched the trailer for this one and now wants to see it. She also started watching Star Wars Rebels last night. Feels so good to pass on a great saga to the next generation. We play Star Wars on Infinity 3.0, but she never had any idea of what we were playing for or the characters.
