My man, keeping the thread alive!

I don't think I've shared this one yet:

1999 Topps Stadium Club Chrome First Day Issue Refractors #26 Steve McNair

We'll see what we find at the national . . .

A McNair first day refactor sold for about the same price recently on ebay, though I bought mine elsewhere, also for about the same price. I'll buy all the McNair /25s from the 90s I don't have for $7 apiece, I'll tell you that much!

I agree. Its crazy how cheap some of these cards go for. Ive been buying up a bunch as I can. I just picked up about 10 1999 bowmans best atomics /100 for less then 2 bucks apiece guys like chris carter andre reed and tim brown included.

If i ever decide to stop being lazy Ill have to scan my stuff and post some pics. I love these type of threads

I swear, the more time that goes by, the more I (and alot of folks around BO) appreciate older cards from the 90's when companies began getting fancy with printing techniques.

Here are a few from my PC that I have pics of..

Pinnacle Trophy Collection

Playoff Contenders Sophmore Contenders

Playoff Hog Heaven (still reeks of leather)

Upper Deck SP Holoview

Select Certified Gold Team

Pinnacle Zenith Rookie Rising

Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor

The Zenith sets in the 90's were AMAZING in all sports. Still love the 1995 Z-Teams, and the Rookie Rising sets were sharp too. Recently picked up the 1995 Rookie Rising Curtis Martin what a sharp card. Even the backs are amazing looking.

Agreed, and youre absolutely right with regards to the backs because they are all foil as well. Tough cards to pull as well. they didnt make it easy..

Most of us probably took it for granted back then, but card companies were making some pretty unique cards in the 90s with some advancements in printing techniques, and materials that are standing the test of time.

I didn't take it for granted then at all! Man I was always on the hunt for the dufex shinny cards! Loved the Trophy Collection cards as well. I had plenty of those. I was a young kid then, so the higher end inserts like z-teams etc I could only occasionally afford the common players as those were expensive enough. Zenith was tough to afford at $5-7 a pack! Other brands retailed at $2-$3ish. I actually loved all the Pinnacle brands and opened packs of every new Pinnacle product between football and hockey. The 1995 Team Pinnacle cards deserve high praise as well.

It wasnt meant as a slight. Im sorry if you took it that way.
For several years, 90's sportscards carried the stigma of mass production, and values suffered as a result. Over the last few, they are slowly seeing a resurgence, and more people are becoming interested in acquiring/collecting.

While there are several reasons for this, I feel that at least one reason is due to some of the unique printing techniques, and materials that companies began experimenting with. IE: Dufex.

lol I wasn't offended I think you misinterpreted I was referring to the fact at I appreciate the cards today, as I did back then as the sharp, shinny, cool technology used on those sets have always been my thing.

I love the chase of looking for some of these rare 90's that are near impossible to find. The hunt is the best part
