Heh....

You might want to bone up on their 90's salary cap infractions that helped them win those Super Bowls before you start popping off.....

I'm kind of surprised all the pats fans saying it will be a blowout.
Love Brady and the pats but can't see them blowing Denver out.

Brady is generally not great in Denver. Had a good game earlier this year but that is not the norm for him. And the Denver D is probably the best they will play this season especially when healthy. Ware missed the first game which definitely hurt them.
And if manning doesn't turn the ball over and let's the run game and D carry them I think it's a 3-7 point game.

Side point, but I can't remember the pats won a road playoff game. Not that that is an end all be all but doesn't happen much.
Should be a good game

I'd be very surprised if its a blowout. Pats are terrible in Denver and have lost there before. Last road playoff game we won was @ SD in 2006 then went on to lose in Indy(they then won SB), but the only other road game we even had before than was Denver 2 years ago.

Going to be a tough game. Keys are stopping the run and keeping Brady upright.

Like I said earlier....If both teams play as they did last week the Pats win by 7.
Costly turnovers, injury in game or mental lapses by the Patriots and the Broncos will win

On pats run defense last time we played Denver....

The Patriots didn’t have linebacker Jamie Collins in that game (illness), while fellow starting linebacker Dont’a Hightower left in the second quarter with a knee injury. When Hightower was in the game, the Broncos had 15 carries for 43 yards. Once he left with injury, they had 17 carries for 136 yards and the three touchdowns.

@Gil_Brandt
Tom Brady is 3-0 in playoffs when facing No. 1 total defense (as Broncos are for 2015). Patriots have averaged 31 points in those 3 games.

All the historical statistics regarding past games both Brady and Manning have engaged in feel rather meaningless. There are so many variables at play that don't factor in much to the present day. This is the 2015 Patriots vs. the 2015 Broncos. It doesn't matter much to me that Brady historically struggles in Denver or that Brady is 3-0 in the playoffs when facing a No. 1 total defense. What matters is how each team plays this Sunday. That's it.

Just posting stats... Many of them contradict each other anyways.

Per Fleming: anyone in that situation would’ve done the same thing

Comment in article:
Apparently the Darius Fleming story stayed quiet because Fleming wanted it that way.

This guy does a good deed and doesn't expect recognition for it. Class act right there.

Not the right thread, but Blakeman is the Super Bowl ref, Panthers win(if they make it)

How many one and dones does Manning have? I think that's at least somewhat of a telling stat. His teams get to the playoffs but don't perform in the same manner. I really don't think there's any defending that.

I think that "stat" is so misleading. Peyton usually gets a bye, so by the time they win their 1 divisional game, they are typically vs Brady. So of course, he has a lot of 1-and-dones, because he has lost to Brady in the playoffs a decent amount.

That's bound to happen when you hold the record for most postseason appearances.

Plus the all time Brady v Manning matchup in the postseason is 2-2, this will be the rubber match.

That's a Peyton Manning record? I never would have guessed that.

Do you mean seasons? Because it's not games started, Brady holds that record at 30. Brady also holds the most postseason wins with 22. Peyton does hold a postseason record but it's for the most losses (13).

When people refer to one and done, it's when he losses the first game of the playoffs. I think that's happened 9 times. So 9 times his team got to the playoffs and didn't win a single game.
