I bought 20 about a week ago. Shipped quickly and all were the Vlad Target blasters.

I received a 10 blaster shipment from Fanatics, highlights were a Miguel Cabrera camo, Nico Hoerner rainbow foil and a Bo Bichette SP. There was also a black Vlad insert in the Bichette pack (/299). By comparison, I had a similarly priced 2 hobby box shipment that hit a Judge sketch, a manufactured relic and some non chase parallels. Both had a similar mix of desired rookie cards. I see those as about equal in price and odds.

I think discounted retail is a better value than overpriced hobby, especially when the desired hits can certainly miss.

The current Fanatics sale and Costco gift certificate combo mentioned earlier lead me to order 7 more blasters, with the GC's essentially paying for shipping and tax.

I've busted two jumbo boxes and did some retail today. Had a particularly good retail break, but I do think they've done a nice job of adding value to the retail product.

Also must say, I spent some time sorting my base this afternoon to organize my complete set and then my duplicates. I'm a big fan of this year's design. The photography is really good. Ton of eye-catching photos that are nice to look at. I'm glad I put a set together, it will be fun to go back and look at years from now.

Agreed, the photography has been excellent. I put my first set into a binder just like I've done with Stadium Club. Hobby has skyrocketed too quickly for my tastes. I preordered 3 jumbo for just over $300 and 2 Hobby for $110. That is a price I'd still pay, but it isn't available anymore.

So is there chipping issues with the rainbow foil? Several i have seen have chipping issues, don't remember it being so severe in prior years.

Every Bichette Rainbow foil I've seen has chipping where his legs meet the bottom of the card. A lot of chipping on bottoms of cards in general.

Exact same thing I'm seeing, looking to pick up an Alvarez but nearly every one looks horrible with the chipping so I don't know.

Yeah, I ended up getting two jumbos at $150 each — first time I've built a set in a few years, but have just been itching to get back into baseball collecting (and itching for baseball season in general).

Went optic searching, hoping maybe I can find some to use the target coupon I think expired yesterday. I bought 7 blasters, didn’t get anything good. 4 yordans out of 7 blaster not bad. Zero bo’s which was weird.. luckily in one of last blasters I got this.

IDK, but a double Logo Trout is nearing $100...I’d imagine your question is player sensitive.

Just hold till the season starts and people start wigging out, get a hot start and then ask.

Any thoughts on pricing this Vlad platinum insert? Might hold until the start of the season, but haven't seen one sold yet and having trouble figuring out its value if I do decide to sell.

I pulled the Judge Greatest Seasons platinum insert from 19 S2, got $65 for it, obviously the player matters, but it does seem that inserts get considerably less than a base 1/1. I'd ask $200 and see what happens
