HE doesn't collect. His kids are into Pokemon and begged him to go so they could try and find some....I told him he loves his kids more that I do. No way would I go and stand in line like that.

They GOT there at 5:30a. He had them wake at 5:00a or earlier…

The products have always been loaded up before 4 am. They would show up as out of stock at first and slowly get stocked. Bowman was always the last product and took hours to sell out.

I loved fishing as a kid. Still do. My dad could’ve woken me up at 2:00 AM on a random Tuesday to go fishing and I would’ve been in. He’d wake me up in the middle of the night if there was a meteor shower because I loved outer space and meteorology. I’m a meteorologist now. I loved collecting. Trust me, if he woke me up at 5:00 to snag cards? I would’ve been in. Good work dad.

Yes i fish too and as a kid couldn't sleep the nite before when I knew we were going early in the AM. I hoping the guys in front of them are getting cards and they'll get something Pokemon related.

Yeah, I have kids, I guess them waking up on their own at 5:00 to do something they wanted to do (my oldest used to wake me up at 5 to play golf) wouldn't be that abnormal. Good for him if they love it.

Just spoke to charm. He just got off conference call with target ceo and confirmed no more online drops due to bot devs being too smart. They will be allocating stock to Ollies.

So Targets answer to the bots is to move the drop to Wednesday morning?

Wow, i guess people were right, Target has an advanced team of computer professionals working around the clock to fight the bots.

Do you think they really care? A sale is a sale is a sale. PLUS they're not consuming store resources with line monitors, extra cashiers, security, etc.

This is absolutely an advanced move for them. Instead of having a predictable day/time for each drop, move it around to keep the playing field even for as long as possible.

Tactics I have seen them implement:

- New URLs for most, if not all new sports card products
- Tokenized cart processing
- Limiting purchase amount per transactions
- Stronger proxy detection
- Randomizing drop schedules
- Moving buttons/elements on page to thwart AI cycles
- Stronger logic for automated cancelation policies
