Are playing signing since fans started coming back? I'd imagine some players are still hesitant on close interaction with fans. Or maybe the NBA is discouraging it for the time being?

I’d be curious as well. Was thinking about hunting at the team hotel when they go to New Orleans Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah I used to do the in person auto thing when I was a kid. Hotels were definitely your best bet. Ive seen videos of Luka signing at games and at hotels too, just dont know what hotel teams are staying at nowadays. Used to be the Westin for the most part, but it’s been damn near 30 years since I’ve been lol |

Question: IF the Mavs are terrible, notwithstanding Luka’s near triple double average, and suddenly Luka’s leading MVP odds begin to fall and championship aspirations look even more distant, is there a risk that his super deep fan pool begins to sour? Or in his case, does team success mean less than it would for most other players with a smaller fan base?

Every player has got to start winning eventually. But he's so young he will still be 22 until almost the end of this season.
What makes you think the Mavs will be horrible? I think they're going to be pretty good this year. They looked really good in preseason. KP looks dialed in on both ends. The overall energy of the team seems way more positive with JKidd as coach. |

Don’t mean this to sound insulting at all- but I think this is a very legit question when he’s 26 or 27. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think the biggest issue was lack of constructive evolution during the offseason. Still waaaay too much pressure on Luka for usage and scoring, with other starters (including KP) and bench largely filled with role players. The media seems enamored with Kidd as a coach, but that’s not a comprehensive solution. |

You know the problem with the Mavs ? They didn't really have a rebuilding period. Luka was so good from the start they were better earlier than expected. They had other issues as well but that is one of the main ones. |

I would agree that for any other player in the league, that 26 is the age is when people start looking for leadership and a ring. But because Luka is so darn good, he is different. His pricing ($5k a silver???) is already priced up to literally 100% guaranteed hall of fame and face of the generation level. I don’t think he gets 5 years before the market turns against him. I just wonder if softening kicks in now if they don’t make the playoffs, which is a small but actual possibility. |

I would love to see them get past the first round. Short of getting to the Finals, I don’t think his pricing will move that much though.

1. They didn’t have a rebuilding period because Luka was so good 2. Because Luka was so good, they got impatient and made terrible decisions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

At least they didn’t play as bad as the Bucks are playing.
Luka needs to assert himself more. Guys also need to catch and hold on to the damn ball. Thought the defense was good. That’s the only positive.

No energy. Pretty disappointing for opening night.
