Right but I'd also put him being away from periods of time on WWE since they just won't put any importance on the title otherwise they wouldn't let him go so much. When he is there, he's a lot of fun. Personally (and I know a lot of people would agree), I'd take a guy who has great mic skills and is decent in the ring over somebody who has terrible or decent mic skills but is pretty great in the ring. The WWE is littered with incredible talent who just isn't great at talking or the WWE won't let them actually talk (mostly scripted). You have to at least admit that the Miz has come a LONG way since he first got to the WWE granted he still has room to improve.

Dont think it was A+ but yeah obviously a work. WWE does this alot. I think all or most of us anyway know it was.

The reaction it is recieving alone makes it an A+, imo.

Oh hell yes I can admit he has improved HUGE since he started. No doubt about that. We differ in our tastes which is fine. Id take the guy with decent mic skills and great in ring ability. Because I watch more for the in ring stuff than the promos.

Fair enough! I'm a big fan of promos mainly because a great promo is few and fair between and gets you more amped for the match itself but I completely understand the reverse argument.

You are right on all counts, but it's frustrating that they are capable of work like this, but rarely showcase it on the 5 hours of TV time they have in a week.

interesting note from dave Meltzer who gets all the backstage news:

Balor was supposed to defend against owens at next ppv and it would end in a way that would lead to a triple threat including jerico at following ppv.

Also both roman and rollins were supposed to be out of the title picture for a couple months before the injury. don't know if that means anything now but I hope it goes KO or Cass (really hoping but knowing it won't happen)

That would have been pretty good, and is still something they can still do. Have Owens be the surprise winner Monday night, which still gets Roman and Seth out of the title picture. Have Owens run as champ with Jericho still by his side but slowly gets envious which could lead to a title match down the line between the two. Owens should own that belt after this coming Monday Night.

I read that wwe is going toward more "shoot" type angles. Ala the Miz promo with bryan and the Orton Brock ending at SS. And I must say.

Not sure if this was posted anywhere, but The Headbangers are gonna be on SD next week, guess they are in the tag toruney.

Unrelated note, I bought tickets to No Mercy (SD only PPV) in Sacramento in October. Guess it will be the second event in the new arena they built there for the Kings.

Well tonight's the night. New Universal Champion being crowned. My prediction is Rusev costs Reigns the title and Rollins pins Cass to win. I think anyone (except Cass) but Rollins should win but WWE for some reason thinks he will stop injuring people and they don't care about RAW ratings so go with the Ratings killer.

Cass hasn't taken a pin yet, no reason to expect him to take one now, in my opinion. They always have Enzo take the pin for a reason, they're high on Cass, just like Roman never took a pin in the Shield, same concept. I want Owens to win, but I think he's in the match just to take the pin.
