OK. I finally got a chance to look at the PSA 6 on my computer instead of my phone. I see the problem with # now. Yeah. Definitely looks off. Probably why the auction was ended suddenly by the seller.

The 100/100 is an obvious fake.

Crappy camera pic, but here's mine for comparison. Seems to match the one in the BGS holder and definitely different from the 100/100.

Also, now that I look at it, does the PSA 6 look like it's missing the embossing on the signature? I have a real crappy scanner that can't handle slabs and even on that, the embossing shows up.

Indeed..and it got by PSA unless that entire slab, flip or some iteration of the two are forged.

The bar code scans properly in psas app.

BGS 8 Championship ticket just popped up. The serial numbering is entirely different than on that 100/100 PSA 6 above. Makes me think that copy was a fake.

This is exactly why I think BAS Authenticated Brady Contenders will be worth more than PSA graded Brady cards in the future. BGS making sure everything is authentic now after what happened with fake Dak cards etc

BGS with BAS > BGS alone > PSA

But PSA is never wrong! That's why all of their cards in the same grade as BGS are worth double the money.

So you guys think someone could forge a serial number? I got laughed at in the "fake" Brady contenders thread when i suggested this. The two people arguing with me said "that's why all i collect is serial numbered cards". I said yeah?...well if they can fake a card you don't think they can easily fake a serial number? ....Now you're being ridiculous!

My guess is that fake 100/100 was intentionally damaged at some point to help lessen suspicion. I’d love to hear PSA explain this one.

Kind of tough to tell on that one. There's no raised R, but the auto looks a little off. Not to mention the back of the card obviously isn't "10" condition.

The pen used to write the signature is different than the one that was used on my PSA 8. It's much more thicker. More like a Sharpie and not what was used on the originals.

Im not really sure that the marker thickness is used as a guage because he did use multiple pens. That said, we have seen really thick markers used on alleged fakes.

In the litigious society we live in I wonder if PSA would get sued and be held liable if someone bought this card and “X” years down the road the new owner tried to crossover to a BGS and found out the PSA slab is worth more than the cardboard in it. Personally I think that anyone who knowingly submits fakes for grading initially should be held liable. Certainly a graded card can be tracked back to the person who submitted it. I find it hard to believe the person who owns that card doesn’t know that it’s about as real as a $3 bill.

This dishonesty within the hobby really irks me and makes me question myself before making a higher end purchase.

Psa and the submitter should both be liable. PSA made the mistake for slabbing and its fraud by the submitter. Bgs and PSA also should be documenting which numbered cards have been graded/submitted. Dont understand why not? That 100/100 could have already been graded but no one documents #... why? What's the point of having numbers if it not documented. It would allow buyers to look up # cards that have been graded and cracked. Think it's funny 1415 brady sp authentic have been graded. Obviously some have been crossed over but I still see some ungraded ones and I can only assume there's still a bunch sitting in boxes somewhere. Lets get up to date PSA and BGS.
