Megas/Monster boxes have the best odds for parallels.

I just finished my jumbo case. These are the highlights. 1 absolutely insane box and 5 really bad boxes. Everything in the picture came out of box #4. The Altuve came out of the box with a nasty ding.

GREAT box! ^^^
I did 6 blasters from Fanatics and they suuuuuuucked.

4 Home Run Challenge (2 J-Rod)
3 Elly base, 1 Jasson base, 1 Elly "Blueprint"
4 #'d cards (1 gold Bryce harper /2024, 1 blue /999, 1 green /499 1 orange /299
Soooo many "teal"(?) parallels with only Trout and Henry Davis being decent names

Had more fun opening four Fanatics blasters than I did opening two hobby boxes.

The hobby boxes included a total of one numbered card (no-name vintage stock), a white-napkin player-worn relic, and a Zack Gelof sticker auto.

The blasters had a Julio HFA, two numbered parallels, an on-card Zack Gelof auto numbered to 199 (all hail Zack Gelof, apparently), and aquas for days…

I know Topps gets creative with their premium products making lots of slightly different 1/1's, but this is new territory isn't it? Identical 1/1's except for the patch.

Pretty positive it’s always been like this

They have always been like that.

Was looking forward to a rare rip today, but apparently I've been had by Ace Ventura. I'll wait and see if Topps replaces, refunds, or credits-back..

Got one Jumbo, and it was bad.

- $8 pitcher auto
- 2 Numbered cards: /2024 and /499 common vets
- Foil parallels were common vets, and 5 were team or league leader cards

I usually get 1 or 2 hobby jumbos of each release. Sometimes they were bad, but usually I would get something a bit lower numbered even if it was an insert or manufactured relic. Then at least a couple rookie parallels, or something like a blue black gold card.

Yes each letter in the name is a 1/1...even with the two T's they issue, each of them should still be a 1/1

I pulled a Bryce Harper "R" out of a last lonely Walgreens 2022 Update hanger. Enjoyed it for six months before selling it to someone completing "Harper".

If I pulled another again last week from my jumbos, instead of a random MLM bat relic, manufactured medallion, or SSP numbered napkin, I'd be ecstatic.

I know some of the older name plates (and maybe it was the other companies) used to numbered them out of the number of letters.

I'm more bothered by their cut job to apparently not leave enough fabric to get the "S" completely in the window

I don't really get what you're complaining about. Should Topps make it 1/5?

Each letter is a 1/1 patch from the nameplate. It's been like this for awhile.

I clearly didn't realize that doing it this way is common, I don't do patch cards at all. I just noticed it was different from the WBC cards, which do number them out of however many letters are in the players last name (see the Soto thread). The WBC numbering makes a whole lot more sense to me.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but yes, it should be #/5.

Or we could use the other logic and say every patch card, like when they cut up the logo or team name, is a 1/1, because none of the cards have the exact same piece in them. Hell, since there are two "T" cards that look the exact same that both get 1/1 stamped on them, then let's call every napkin piece 1/1 as well.

Fanatics blasters did show up today. Nothing to post as far as hits, two more home run challenge cards, one /2024 gold, and of course the one aqua per pack. I’m five total blasters and two hangars in, 0 elly/jasson base which is interesting a bit. But a small sample size.

Do still enjoy this flagship design in person even if I’m not hitting anything from retail.

But just so everyone knows every blaster isn’t loaded

How do those Stars of the MLB cards look in person, is there any sort of shine to them?

Images look kind of flat, but, wondering if they are actually super cool to look at if they shine with a foil finish, tough to tell.

Got the two hobby boxes from Topps pre-sales.
Crappy boxes as usual - One Elly and no Evan. One Gold / One Green waves of no one. One picture variation. Nothing else worthwhile.

Do you think box prices will eventually drop a bit? Or will they remain strong even if Elly struggles? Granted I know he's not the only carrying the product........

Are the gold mirrors flipped upside down in the packs?
