To me, I 100% agree Luka must get healthy.

I think he will get there, I'm not worried about it because he is still a stud and putting some good numbers.

22 years old and plenty of time to go on a Jokic Diet.

So there's still considered Luka's age 22 season. (He'll be 23 in Feb). Still time to overcome.
THIS!!!

The big difference is that those players didn't come into back to back seasons at age 21 and 22 overweight and out of shape.

Remember... MJ and LeBron weren't playing with a great supporting cast... still found a way to win and put up MVP type numbers.

It's all about Luka's supporting cast tho.

8/2/2 after one. At least they're fighting for rebounds

Not a pretty half but at least they're only down 4.

Couple thoughts.

1. With the players he has around him, the sooner he abandons the “get everyone involved in the offense” philosophy, the better. I think he gets caught up chasing the triple doubles. Only feed the teammates when you need to or when they are hot—not ‘till they get hot.’ Too many wasted possessions passing off to these guys…alpha up and call your own number more when the scrubs are playing like scrubs.

2. Once the weight comes off, you’ll see less injuries IMO. Most of these are lower body. Take 30lbs off and you’ll see a lot less stress out on the lower half. It’s still pretty early in the season.

3. Going to watch him play Friday night in Indy. The fact that he’s +30lbs right now doesn’t bother me…there’s just more of Luka to watch and I couldn’t be more pumped to see him play live.

He makes the right basketball play 95% of the time. Unfortunately, the right basketball play isn’t usually the right play for the Mavs when Luka is the one passing the ball.

Good to see the team have a nice shooting night from three. All the have to do is be average from three, and the wins will pour in.

Solid win. Really needed that coming off the meltdown last night.

In response to your #3, I will be there as well. Just more Luka to watch. My girl knows I'm a huge fan of Luka so she gave me an early christmas present and is taking me to the game. Curry will be in Indy Monday and if he doesn't hit ten 3's in his next game, he will surely break the record vs the Pacers then. I really want to go to that one as well but can't make it.

Lastly, living in Indiana I have always been surrounded by Cubs, Cards or Reds fans. It's always been the Sox for me as the Big Hurt was always my favorite player.

Lots of debate as to whether to stay on the Luka train or jump off. Well, it was a busy busy November for me. Made some strong sales, allowing for some strong buys... so y'all can see I'm staying on board....

(you can just ignore that random nobody on the bottom right though...)

He will be fine, its 20-30 pds, if he didn't eat poorly for a few weeks and played basketball as he already does he'd lose it all.

Does Dallas have enough cap room for a max this coming summer? If they do, how would you guys feel about Ayton?

I think you're on to something....
We might start to hear about this from the mainstream media soon.

I love Ayton. I also like the idea of Domantas Sabonis since Indy is blowing it up.

Before you guys get ahead of yourselves, the answer is no, they do not have cap room

Yep. Any hype around the Mavericks won’t start until Porzingis is gone. End of story.

Ok... so you purposely sign a contract that you lose $1,704,456 each year?

Get your money now I guess.

Never realized how little they are paying Finney-Smith for a guy that's giving them 32 minutes a game.

They'll have to find somebody in the draft to make up that production for that cheap once he's gone. Same with Brunson.

Now this is an awesome post all around!!! It’s always been all Sox for me, since the Big Hurt is the greatest athlete of all time…it’s not even debatable!!!!!

I’m sure it will be a treat to see Luka tomorrow. Going with my brother and nephew and his friend—they are in 8th grade and right in that sweet spot of their love for the game. I can’t wait to see them light up when they see Luuuuuuuka! Going to be memorable!

Pordingus and Luka reminds me of Pujols and Trout.

Blazers and Mavs send picks to Indy. Indy either tries to let him build value or buys out Kristaps.

That timmy contract was straight a$$. I rather them have gotten nothing back then to be locked up for 4 years with him especially at that price.
