Especially since so much of the backlog is in assembly. If the AG guy handles the grading, the slabbing part is where most of the additional workload will be, but assembly is often taking 2-3 weeks now.

Interesting concept, but having gotten so many cards that are not grade worthy, no way I would send cards blindly!

A million percent agree. Got my first 8.5 in forever and got absolutely smashed on most of the order. Of course it was mostly 80s paper that new graders CAN NOT GRADE. Got almost all 8s-6s with the exception of a 3 on a finest refractor (?????) and 10s and 9s on the few newer cards. I'd guess everyone except 4sc is done submitting paper cards at this point.

My cards finally moved to Order Prep today. I'm based in Canada but it really seems like they want to push everyone to submit via group submitters.

My Order Finally Moved into Grading after being stuck in Research and ID Forever! Clearly it won't hit the estimated completion date of April 2, 2025. It will probably get stuck in assembly for 6 weeks : (

The estimated completion date is approaching, however the cards have been stuck in Research and ID for 2 months with no movement. I do know that for dual service, the cards get sent to PSA/DNA first to have the autographs authenticated. Once they are returned, Research and ID is complete.

Anyone else submit to Card and Autograph Dual Grading service near the end of 2024? I am curious what the actual wait time will be. Thanks!

They are so far behind from research to grading it is comical. One of my 4 orders took from 1/10 to 3/14 just to move to grading. I am glad it is TCG and not sports which depends on timing.

Totally unwarranted. Never had a submission come back with such low grades. These were all pack-pulled chrome cards from Topps that had been looked over. I've submitted many orders over the past years and maybe at most one or two PSA 8s for modern cards, with the rest split between 10 and 9. This is totally strange results. Just had to vent. I'll probably crack all the 8s and resub them, probably get half come back as 10 and half as 9...and to add insult to injury, they upcharged me on one of the PSA 10s to $75 for a card that recently sold for $200 in a PSA 10. PSA is a joke.
THIS!!! Just had a Value Max order pop. Only a handful of cards but the worst grades I’ve ever received and I cherry pick what to send in as well and look them over prior to sending. All 8s and a 7. Absolutely baffled. I’ve never sent an order without getting at least 40% Gem let alone not even a 9

I cracked my Value Max 8's and they got CGC 9's. I will not be using any "value max" bs with PSA again

PSA can't change their grading standards overnight and expect everyone to be okay with it, especially since there are millions of cards already graded under their previous standards.

I called in and they are denying that their standards have changed at all. Total BS. Then when I asked for a re-review they said “that’ll be another $35/card and you’ll have to receive them 1st and then ship back to us”. This has me shifting to SGC I think

We pay $150 for a PSA membership. As a result, we get longer processing times (they are way past 45 business days now for bulk), increased grading fees, tougher grading standards with no notice, and no monthly specials since January. Total clown show.

I had one card sent to the PSA vault from my order and it was in the vault for maybe a few minutes this morning and then I received an offer from PSA for the card. It was actually a super easy process. Is PSA or someone else through PSA’s buying program offering on a bunch of cards or did I just get lucky?

Do they send the upcharge email during Grading or Assembly?

EDIT: I am dumb, I now remember that I once got the email after Assembly was a GREEN checkmark

Wow Mr. Speed Racer over here! /s

Mine is also a 1/10 arrival and it still hasn't moved to Grading. I legitimately might get to play GTA VI or Half-Life 3 at this point before I get my cards back.

I know a lot of people have been saying that submissions are in assembly for a long time. Is that referring to the time from when they enter assembly to when they get green check or is it from when you get green check to when grades are ready?

I'm still wondering if the reduction of Chinese cards specifically (basketball being big there), and Canadian and Mexican cards as well, will help mitigate some of the delay. Maybe that was another reason PSA decided to just suspend their service while the tariff situation is being sorted out, it could give them some breathing room.

Yeah, I’m just throwing out the reverse uno card. Every time I post to complain about how long things are taking within 48 hours my order gets updated.
