Just got out of X....it definitely grew on me....at times I sat there and was hoping they'd hurry it up but once the killing started and all the weirdness ensued, I left the theater having thoroughly enjoyed it.

In a theater with 3 other people and I definitely laughed out loud at one of the kill scenes which was a pretty good kill I saw coming but it still "knocked me off my feet" if you catch my drift.

It's streaming, so to speak, only in theaters currently.
"X" stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Brittany Snow, and rapper/singer Kid Cudi.

As mentioned, the director Ti West has already filmed a prequel to it, and says it will end up being a trilogy by the time he's done...

Watched In Fabric today on Showtime Anytime. Very weird, but I really liked it.

Watched this last night. I really thought it was a good movie. The last 15 minutes was a bit much though.

Watching Escape the Field.

Looks like it's basically The Cube set in a giant cornfield.

Is this a "yes" or "no" on the recommendation scale?

I was onboard initially. "Creepy cornfields" and endless "backrooms" settings are some of my favorites. But this movie lacked both the smart writing and risk taking to really make it click.

When one of the characters went full-on "Arnold painting his face with mud before fighting the Predator", I felt like I was watching a YouTube parody. I won't give away the monster/alien/mastermind/villain ending, but it was rather disappointing. I will say that at least for a movie featuring a diverse cast, they weren't afraid to give negative character traits to everyone. There aren't any Mary Sue's. That was a refreshing bit of storytelling.

Possible spoiler: Probably the most unbelievable part of the movie was when—moments after berating another character for keeping secrets and not being honest with the group—a character gets shot in the butt by a mysterious syringe and immediately decides to keep it a secret.

I give the movie a B-. Good production value and an interesting idea, but nothing particularly memorable or good to elevate it.

Watched "Dave Made A Maze" last night. I guess you could call it horror. It is a bit different and may not be for everyone but I thought it was clever and I liked it. Not your traditional blood and guts but there is blood and guts.

Chompy and The Girls: Way better than I expected. It had every right to be an F, but managed to land a solid B-.

Sky Sharks: We’re only 10 minutes in and oh my…

I love the idea of that movie and mostly enjoyed the execution. I feel like the plot would have hit much harder if it had just been the girl going in (no friends or tag-along characters) and focused entirely on memories of their relationship (similar to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and whether she would be able to find Dave and convince him to return to the real world with her.

Its not horror at all but if you haven't seen Interstate 60 "Episodes of the Road" its a good movie. Has several decent actors in it. Nothing ground breaking but was a nice find when I was movie searching one night. Early 2000's movie I believe.
